    New Pinball buying Connections...

That's great-hopefully things work out with this guy and you can get more pins up north of the border. One other thing to try maybe-how far from the border is he, and would he be willing to drive up? I was reading on pinside that the guy who bought Kim's BBB brought in an AFM to sell and paid...

    RFM Light Show

That's an awesome idea-you could do the same thing with some gameroom lighting inside if you really wanted to go nuts. Wire up an AFM and kill the room lights during strobe multiball?

Same bulb burning out multiple times?

This might be coincidence, but I think the same insert bulbs are getting burnt out over and over again on some of my machines. The 10 million door panel on TZ is out, and I'm sure that I changed it a few weeks ago. Might have just been a crappy bulb, but I know I've had the same thing happen...

FS "Not Mine" Pinball Machines For Sale

Sounds legit-any idea who this is? 7k for an IJ doesn't sound absolutely ridiculous anymore somehow, and if this one's actually HUO, then it's a pretty rare find.

    ACDC - My Take

In multiball, do the jackpots always come up in the same order? i.e., is there a "best" song to have going at the start of either multiball, or is it pretty much random? Also, does getting the song jackpot only correspond to one of the multiballs, or will a song show up on both an album and a...

    2013 GTA Pinball Expo!

Yes, power will likely be a problem. I wonder how the other shows manage to pull it off-how many machines can you reliably attach to a circuit? Generators are an interesting idea though. Also have to find a place that will have good access for setup/teardown and some way to lock up at night...

    2013 GTA Pinball Expo!

I'd love to see something like this happen-let me know what I can do to help! Not sure where else to look, but if you're looking in the summer, you're definitely going to run into problems with conflicts on things like weddings. Could look at some of the larger community centers or arenas...

    Finally got LOTR....

Enjoy, and remember that if you get sick of it, there's always someone here who'll buy it. If you want to see what this game really has to offer, check out some of the videos on the papa blog. This one (http://papa.org/blog/2013/01/pinburgh-2012-group-t/) has a great game on LOTR from last...

    Remote battery holders

Do any of you guys bother installing remote battery holders? I keep reading about them as a suggestion, but haven't bothered putting them in any of my games. I do try to change the batteries once a year, but I figured that if the batteries were going to leak, then you'd probably notice as long...

    Buying a new car?

We've got a Hyundai Santa Fe as well as the Mazda, and it's OK on gas. It's also a great car for moving pins in though-I've been able to fit everything I've bought in there pretty easily, and other than the routine maintenance, zero major problems with it in seven years.

Price Check on LOTR **No matter - BOUGHT***

Re: Price Check on LOTR Any idea why the price on this game has gone crazy all of a sudden? It's good, but it's a little strange that this is up over 5k but TSPP, for example, isn't. Both are deep games from around the same era, and I'd argue that The Simpsons is a much better game. Just...

    X-Men pro rules?

I wouldn't expect them to never re-run X-Men. After all, they're making more Avatars this year for some reason...

    HULK in the house!

At least the stairs are straight? Congrats on the purchase-enjoy the game!

Stern Pro build quality-what's really different?

No, it's actually different/multicolored LEDs that will change based on game code. Looks really nice on the new games. On X-Men, the GI can flip to blue or red for different modes, and a bunch of the ACDC inserts can all be different colours. I wasn't sure whether than was in both versions of...

    X-Men pro rules?

They posted on facebook that they were working on an update, but no info on when to expect it. If they're re-running in March though, that's a good sign, but this is one case when I'd rather just hear "when it's done". Deadlines are good, but good code is better.

Stern Pro build quality-what's really different?

Thanks-I was really wondering because of things like the IM at Playdium getting pounded to hell and the wood wearing away on a game that's what-2 years old? Shouldn't they be able to take more abuse than that? I suppose I don't have a B/W game to compare to that saw similar usage to something...

    ACDC - My Take

Did SB end up selling off the ACDCs they used for the CPCs? I think they sold them the last time they ran one, and they were a pretty good deal for what was basically a NIB game with 3 days of use on it.

Stern Pro build quality-what's really different?

Given that I haven't bought a Stern pro since they went Costco, I'm just wondering what's typically different between them and the LEs/Premiums in terms of raw cabinet/PF hardware, and how much that matters: -Playfields: other than the obvious different features, are the pro PFs any different...

    ACDC - My Take

Yeah, I'm torn on this one. I like the trim and lights on the Premium, and the build quality is better (PF rails, lockdown, clear on the PF). Plus, the giant ass face in the middle of the pro PF... What kills it is that diverter though-it's bad enough that the right ramp gets taken out of the...

    X-Men pro rules?

Actually, I've been messing around with it more, and I don't think the number of modes you have completed changes the jackpot-only starting modes. 7/8 goes to 650000, but all 8 takes it to an even million, whether they're flashing or solid, so it looks like this is the max value you can get to...
