    Star wars pinball out now!

So, how are these tables-any good? Any word on whether these guys are going to enable cross-platform purchases? I have a bunch of stuff in Pinball FX2 on the 360, and I also have the Xbox live enabled Pinball FX2 on windows 8. Looks like you have to buy DLC in both places though.

    Pinball Cafe Closed

Thanks for dropping in to reply to this-nice to hear your side of the story. Sounds like a messed up situation from all ends. Running a business is hard enough, why should government come in like that and make it that much harder?

    MindOrbit Lighted Shooter Rod

So hang on-does that mean that when the shooter is in that the whole thing is carrying 12v? It looks like it breaks the circuit when you pull it out, but wouldn't you get shocked off of it while it's lit up? Still, cool idea-I was thinking something like a mini plasma ball would be great on...

    Accessibility

I like the fact that it's weekly, plus the fact that there's really no reason that you need to be there every week. If you're never going to take the high score or season point total prizes, then it's really just getting enough weeks in to get a percentage (and even that's optional). Playoffs...

What the heck do you do for daycare!?

Actually, the decision had to do with a couple who both worked for Canada Customs, so you might be in a good bargaining position with a government job. As for the cost etc, I certainly feel your pain. Both my kids are in daycare now, and it's pricey. Katie's almost 5, and that's $215/week...

If you had to sell one...

The real question is, which of those would you be able to find again when you decide you want them back?

How much have you learned over what period of time?

I've only been doing this for 3 years now, but I've learned a whole lot about what to do (and what not to do) when repairing games. Started off with some flipper rebuilds and switch adjustments, and I did a teardown, mylar reloval, and rebuild of my JM after I got it. I've also done a bunch of...

    Building a Dream

It's really trying to think of what you can do a hell of a lot cheaper at the outset instead of trying to shoehorn it in later. As for climate, you're planning on insulating and heating, but what about in the summer? Are you going to run AC out there? If you're going with metal exterior...

    Pinball Insurance?

Just to close the loop on this, I did end up talking to insurance company over the weekend, and I confirmed that there wasn't a specific limit for pins (or other electronics), so it just counts as whatever you have under "contents". Given that I'm at $2m now, that should be plenty.

    Building a Dream

I don't know about you, but every house I've lived in with a garage has at least had water (hose hookup), including the one that was detached from the house. It's probably not essential to have it, but it would be a nice thing to have. That being said though, getting hooked up to well and...

    Building a Dream

You could always build an enclosed (or at least covered) walkway back to the house if you wanted to be able to move back and forth without going outside as much too. I'd hate to have to shovel a pathway through that snow the other day just to play a little pinball.

SOLD february list 198 pinballs !!

Re: february list 198 pinballs !! Anybody else from the GTA getting in on this and want to work out transportation? I might be interested in a LOTR, a roadshow, and a T3 if I can get them out here.

    First Look: JJP's "The Hobbit"!

Is that actually final artwork? Could just be a mockup to sell the last few LE deposits. Still, if they want to release next spring, they need to get things moving. Turnaround should be a LOT faster this time. Looking forward to seeing how this one shapes up, and the opportunity to actually...

    Building a Dream

Should be amazing-looking forward to seeing the final result. Any updates on the plans for what you want to build? Still planning on contracting the entire thing out, or will some of it be DIY?

    New STAR WARS pinball!

These could be cool-I like some of their Marvel tables. Their Avengers might be better than Gomez' :) Someone has to pick up the license to make a new Star Wars machine eventually, at this point it's just a matter of who and when.

TOPL Should be on the 5:30 Global news

Looking forward to seeing how this turned out-not a huge turnout last night, but my basement is pretty small, so it looks more crowded I suppose. I'm sure there'll be a way to grab it off the web once it's there, but I should have it on my DVR tonight as well.

    BostonPinball - Oversized Topper Displays

Neat idea, but 500 bucks! Makes the colorDMD seem cheap :)

    Good prices?

A decent STTNG is probably going to be running $4000+ these days. You might find one for less, but probably no lower than $3500. Whitewater may still be had in the $2500-3000 range, but I haven't looked since I got mine a couple years ago, so I'm just extrapolating.
