    Pinballapalooza

I'm really surprised at the lack of "you can buy these" ads there (even if it was just a sign on the games that said so). Still, might have been a condition of the agreement they had with SB? Anyway, glad that this worked out-now the real question is, are they going to be selling off any of...

    Building a Dream

You could do some neat stuff with a moveable camera setup there if you wanted. Not sure exactly how it'd work, but a conduit across the ceiling where you could mount a camera at an arbitrary position could be a neat idea there. Maybe something that used wireless HDMI to stream to a TV?

    Is this normal flipper behaviour?

I don't think that's normal-maybe check the flipper coil sleeves to see if they're dirty? Maybe extra wear/dirt on there could reduce the friction enough to allow a ball to push the pawl back in a little. Other thing to check is to actually measure the voltages at the coil and see if they're...

    #3 Williams Star Trek TNG

I'm really glad this worked out for you guys-I gather that the rewire I did on the 50V from the aux driver board back to the circuit did the trick? Just to close the loop on this, I had the game for maybe three months before one of the diverter coils melted after the game was on all day for a...

[GroupBuy] TSPP Upper Flipper Control Board *Completed*

Re: [GroupBuy] TSPP Upper Flipper Control Board ends May 8/2 Doesn't that just happen if you hit the flippers to cancel the animation normally? Are you saying that sometimes this just happens on its own?

    Officially an Owner!

Congrats-WCS94 was my first pin too. Enjoy the game!

The Pinball Diaries (what did you do today?)

Nice job on that theatre-what gear are you looking to put in there?

    Pinballapalooza

If playdium is doing it, I'm sure that's part of the plan. I was just about to say that they should pull the WOZ over for the event, but while that may sell a couple of those, would it be at the expense of selling some of the Stern LEs they have? Why get this one when I can get the one with...

    Best TZ clock boards

I've got the Rottendog, and I've had no problems with it.

    Pinballapalooza

If it works, great-it's not like any of us have a stake in whether this succeeds or not. It sucks that they were trying to get people to donate machines with nothing in return, but all you need to do is say no, and things are fine. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with though-not...

    Tim's Rescue 911 thread

At a minimum, I'd tear those flippers apart and replace the stops/sleeves, and depending on the condition of the mechs, do a full rebuild. The kits you get from pinball life are priced pretty reasonably, and include everything you need.

    pictures

Really? I move games in an 05 Santa Fe all the time, and have no problems with it. Only thing you might want to try next time is going coin door first on that thing-I like loading that way because you can dolly out, lean it on the car, and then lift it in, and then pull it out straight onto...

Mystery pinball machine in real estate listing

So one of the houses on our street went up for sale last week, and I went to check the listing just to see what it was going for. Flipped through the pictures, and saw this: Is it a bad sign that I noticed the pinball machine on the right side of the photo right away? Resolution sucks on...

Anyone had a chance to look at this problem yet? Still not working-it can get the page right, but not the post ID.

The Pinball Diaries (what did you do today?)

Thanks for hosting the other night Chris-you've got a great lineup there, and a hellish basement for moving games in and out of. There's probably room for one or two more though...just sayin' :)

    Break it to them gently

Do you distinguish between "your" money and "her" money? I suppose the difference is that we basically treat everything as "our" money, so there's at least a discussion about any major expenses like a new pinball machine. My rule has always been that I won't go into debt to buy a pin, and so...

Nice job on the touchups-looks brand new!

What will I have to do with my European pin?

+1 to that-I've had a hard time even finding SB fuses elsewhere (Sayal didn't have them last time I checked). Stock up from pinball life or Great Plains.

    New Xmen Code

So I've been playing a bunch more X-Men with the new code, and it's really a much better game now. Not to say that it feels absolutely "complete", but at least now they're on the right track. Strategy has really moved to starting heroes and villains in the right combinations, since I don't...

What will I have to do with my European pin?

I've never bought a container game, but I've watched TOP3 (http://www.pinrepair.com/top/) a couple of times, and that deals with an end to end restore of a container game. Some good tips in there for checking out a game that's a complete unknown. Definitely worth picking up a copy.
