Yes, it does have a problem detecting hits-you'll notice that not every direct shot to the ringmaster will register. The upgraded board has an auto adjust feature on it. I've thought about buying it before, but it's never bothered me that much. It's a problem maybe 15% of the time.
Never seen that problem with the magnet on mine. I've had the wireform just a little out of whack which made the ball divert down there without the magnet, but the magnet has never failed to catch the ball there. The ringmaster magnet is a different story that fails to grab the ball maybe 30%...
If you need one, I actually have a spare pinbits juggler guard. I ordered one a while back, forgetting that there was one in the coinbox that the previous owner had removed (and that I'd never gotten around to installing).
Are you talking about the ball falling off the acrobats wireform...
The purple armor is kind of neat actually-I thought about doing that to mine, but it's a little pricey. I kind of go back and forth on the game-sometimes I want to sell it while the price is up there and get another A-lister, but then I play it some more and realize that I'd never get another...
Moved a bunch of stuff around in the basement last night to make some more space. By moving the MAME to the end of the room and shifting all the pins around, I was able to make space for another game or two. It's amazing how just changing the position of a game can make a difference. After...
This is probably going to be an expensive game to produce...I really wonder how many people will want one. Could be an interesting game to operate (just for the novelty), but then again, there's probably a reason that it never got produced. I'm sure there are people who will buy one, and I'm...
In the latest release (with deadpool), villain modes are much more useful (and easier to complete), and apparently Dark Phoenix is a pretty epic wizard mode (never made it there myself). Still a fun game.
At least it's only 4 rollovers and not the huge pile of them on WOZ? The overlay actually makes a lot more sense-the area in the middle was confusing with the gap, but that makes the captive ball shot pretty obvious. It also looks like all four of the popups are troll style bash toys (and not...
Other than Monday TOPL nights, weeknights don't tend to have a lot of pinball. Maybe 5 or 6 games a week either after kids are in bed, or after work while one of us is making dinner. Neither kid really "plays" that well, but my 6 year old tries, and my 2 year old likes the flashing lights...
Re: Stern Pinball Announces Relaunch of Ironman as next rele
Great idea-hopefully it bodes well for more vault releases. SM with a new comic inspired art package!
Re: FS-AFM, MB, MM, CV, TZ
That is a lot of games to be moving at once-there's some real quality stuff getting spread around there. A little too rich for my budget right now, but if you can afford it, go for it. These are some of the nicest games you'll ever see.
