I've been trying to at least get a mode going before getting into multiball lately, but there's no way that I can see ever getting to Valinor on this. I suppose finishing with DTR is similar to needing to get multiball last to get vacation jackpot in whitewater, but at least that's easier to...
Dammit, the more I read about this game, the more I start to think about getting one. Still holding out for AFM as the next title...no money or space to have both of those games in my basement. I think 10 is where I'm going to top out in that room.
That's a pretty amazing lineup if you've just gotten into this over the last year. AFM is pretty hard to come by.
If you want to come out to an event- the TOPL playoffs are next weekend, and there's both a TFLE and STLE there (as well as tons of other games) if you want to have another look...
Oh, so the next game is going to be the last DMD? Wasn't the "last DMD" supposed to be the last four games? :)
I'm all for taking the time to make sure you get things right, and if they've waited there's obviously a good reason. Does this imply that they're going to the driver board under...
AND what the Quality Control is going to be like. There's a lot of potential for mistakes if you're bringing in random people to help assemble, and if you're working long hours yourself on multiple games, there's bound to be a mistake or two. I don't doubt that the basement assembly will pull...
Now THAT is an interesting idea... especially if they install the redemption kits on the pins. I wonder how complex it'd be to have redemption games feed directly into their cineplex loyalty points system? That way you eliminate tickets, and let people win points that they already have a...
Welcome! If you're interested in making the drive, there's a couple of Canadian leagues reasonably close in London, KW and Toronto (depending on how much of a trek you want to make). The toronto league playoff tournament is in a couple weeks (May 25) in an amazing location if you're interested.
That's interesting-I hadn't realized that Stern did contract manufacturing on the side, but it makes a lot of sense if there's going to be downtime in the factory. I think this is a unique situation though-there was an existing relationship there, and there's a large quantity of games being made.
I like those-where did you get them? As mods go, I'm liking these custom side art panels. The ones I got for TSPP add a whole lot of depth to the look of the game.
Nice! Which one did you end up getting? Anytime I've seen 3d printers in action, the first thought has always been how to print new pinball parts. Nothing is big enough to print a ramp (yet), but the plastic that comes out of these things seems surprisingly strong.
Enjoy-that 75k is a fun ride, and it 's a great cause! I've missed out on the last couple of years since our second kid was born, but the last year I did the ride was the full 75. Hopefully it doesn't rain this year- I remember seeing the remains of a few wipeouts coming down the hill from...
Because there are lots of people out there looking for their first machine. Small community of collectors, sure, but there's that whole other group of people that buys one machine and stops there, or are just getting into this and don't know any better. We've all probably overpaid for...
Probably takes too much time. If they can find people to buy games "as is" then there's no incentive for them to document things better on the far end.
If they're looking at another location, I can only imagine the logistics for moving everything from a permanent facility to a new spot. Still, there has to be some way to get the player cap up from this year when they had to turn people away. Maybe next year is the year I can finally make it...
Good find-sounds like the difference between a Normally Open and Normally Closed switch. Just so happens that different microswitches are set up differently I suppose :)
