    MM from Planetary Pinball

This is some pretty logical thinking.

    MM from Planetary Pinball

I'm just happy to get an MM.

    MM from Planetary Pinball

Standards now have double clear-coat. So, basically expect them to run MM until the wheels fall off. Just like WOZ, or Hobbit, or Stern Pro/Premiums.... run them till no one wants them.

    Pinball World Prices

I've concluded that Stern is stuck creating $5k games. You will never see them take a huge leap, because the Pros would not be able to maintain the $5k price point. They are the only company trying to make a $5k pin. And you have to admit most of their Pro models are pretty compelling. No one is...

    Pinball World Prices

Yes, the 30-somethings with their man caves ARE the ones buying up all the machines. So what? Not sure why anyone needs to be blamed for anything.

    MM from Planetary Pinball

I'm in a good/unique situation in that I am moving house, and ready and able to buy more pins for it. So all these announcements are good news for me. I don't know how many new machines the pin community can absorb though. I ran a poll on pinside about new blood, and more people bought their...

    Pinball World Prices

It was also a remake of the most popular pin of all time. These types of re-issues can probably only be done for a very few titles, after that it isn't worth it. Reminds me a bit when Star Wars special edition was released in 1997 and was the #1 movie again.

TOPL - Brawl For All - Oct 20th

I unfortunately will not be able to make it. Stubbed my toe yesterday badly and am hobbling around in pain. Spending a day on my feet sounds like torture. Looking forward to hearing how the new format goes, I think it will be a success.

    Predator Pinball artwork

I'm not going to post this on Pinside cause I don't want to feel like I'm kicking them while they are down, but since they likely will not read this... Predator was one of the first wave of boutique pin announcements. As it is nearing release, I think we are seeing the hard realities of what it...

    Pinball World Prices

makes no difference to me or my plans. I still love to play pinball today as much as I did last week. If anything, if there's a market correction, that probably is a net positive to most of us, except those of us that had a handful of the most expensive titles.

The mint originals will still be valued by collectors but those routed ones will drop like a stone.

that less clearcoat bit is a killer.

    The Dude is coming

I am sooooo pumped about this. I just hope it is not a dog turd. This is a dream theme for me as well.

I'm in. Always wanted an MM, gave up on getting a good one at a price I could afford.

    Pat Lawlor making a comeback???

hmm.... jpop wouldn't have thrown that out there for no reason. I wonder if it's something crazy like PL is going to design a game for zidware?

    Pat Lawlor making a comeback???

It's sort of funny to me, in a warped way, that jpop in his 40s is still the "young gun" amongst pinball designers.

    Pat Lawlor making a comeback???

yeah, kickstarter failed so no PL game.

    Pinballnews.com - P3 Latest Developments

I'm not sure if the P2000 concept would have had legs after the novelty wore off. I think pinball needs to be pinball. You can add lcds in the playfield or backglass, the dmd is admittedly tired, but the core game is what makes it compelling. That "virtual" playfield for Lexxy looks like a...

    Pinballnews.com - P3 Latest Developments

I watched the video demos of the screen. My concerns with what they are going for, is if you are rendering 3d graphics like that, it has to compete with what we see on a daily basis on xobx, ps3, etc. With their small team, they don't have the budgets or ability to make something comparable...

    Pat Lawlor making a comeback???

Jersey Jack has to bring on more teams if he wants to be a true competitor. They can't just produce a pin every 2 years. It would make sense that a new team would start work there and Lawlor would be a good match.
