I do both as I hate seeing any DMD reflection. From the sides they do look a bit wierd, but in a row of games that you primarily see from the front, you pretty much forget they are there... until you remove one. Visibility is key and both of these products together make a huge difference for me...

If this works, you can do the same at the TIP on the board that drives the coil. This would further eliminate the problem being between the board and coil... or a power issue.

I hate to start off with the obvious but... I'm assuming you've checked the fuse? And, that you havent installed the coil the other way around but kept the wires as they were? The next step would be to ground out the TIP that drives that coil and see if it fires that way. Then you can isolate...

Reading Walt's original post, it sounds like the issue is where the topper joins to it's mointing bracket... not the cabinet. I could be wrong.

Yes, an image would be most helpful as I've never seen how these are mounted. Just fold down the head and snap a pic. I'm sure I have some manner of hardware here at the shop that can work.
