Unfortunatley, finding a nice WW is the trick. Many seem to be beat to hell... and you just don't see many come up at all. The nice thing about the WPC era is that playfields were starting to get Diamondplated, so the early 90's pins seem to have held up a bit better over time vs. their System...

They only seem to ship UPS so I would avoid sending it accross the border for sure. Chicago is a good bet. If you pre-arrange it, I'm sure they'll bring one to the show for you.

Most system 11 games are still very attainable and offer great value for the buck. They are just 1 step down in terms of sophistication when compared to their WPC counterparts... but not by much. If you can live without the DMD, I think games like Eartshaker, Whirlwind, Taxi, High Speed etc...

Soooo, Had some time to play around with FT last night and repaired the broken wire to the topper and noticed that the reel was missing its drive belt. Installed that and the game seems to be woring 100%... minus a few burnt bulbs. It's a bit slow and dirty. But a nice shop job and cleanup...

I addressed a couple of small issues on my container FT and got it fully working. Just needed a wire soldered and a new drive belt for the reel/ball lock toy. Now it just needs a good clean and shop out. Loving it!

Always happens. Every project I take on seems to extend 2x-3x longer than I anticipated. Did you opt for the micro switch kit for the upper playfield? It makes a huge difference visually. Together with all the Cliffy protectors, it's pretty slick! Good luck!

Well, I will say this. The cost to restore a game to like new condition, or even to near CQ shape, is often the same as if I were to buy it already done... And that's not accounting for my time. If I did not enjoy the work, it would definitely not be worth the trouble. Guys like Chris Hutchins...

I personally like the work done on XM at least. Well, now that it's somewhat complete anyway. Yes, there is still a lot of "hit this x times" to start a mode, but the completion of those modes at least seems to have a little more thought put into it. And I like how certain character's traits...

Just think... you could probably put a small deposit on a NIB Star Trek if you still had those :lol:
