Awesome toys! Maybe we'll be seeing some MM style zombie/trolls popping out of the playfield :D
I'm pretty excited for TWD as well. I won't be rushing out to buy one mind you, but way more juiced for this than almost any other recent release from Stern.
I use frisket film. It's the gold standard for airbrushing and has been around for years.
It has great masking ability without being overly sticky and it cuts very very easily with low pressure. I buy mine at Curry's art supply. It's not cheap :(
I also have a nice scalpel (purchased from...
It's like anything... after a while you just get used to it. I find my reaction time on BSD needs to be laser fast. Tron is that way too... but waaaaay less punishing
One more small update.
Looks like I'm all set to go on clearcoating tonight. The shop is open late and the spray booth is clear.
I touched up the head cabinet over the weekend and, except for a little internal cleanup and polishing the siderails, the cabinet is complete.
It does look way better...
I think the Pinbits MM shaker is the best aftermarket shaker mod available. Fits beautifully into the theme and adds a nice touch to destroying gates and castles.
Just makes an awesome game even 'awesomer'
78" might just be enough.
When I renovated my basement I made sure my subflooring and ceiling drywall allowed me just enough room to squeeze in my TAF, FT & WH2O. I think they are about 76" high.
CQ does mean different things to different people.
If you were collecting comic books or action figures, the item would have to still be new and unopened to meet this criteria.
In pinball this isn't practical. These games get played... end of story.
I'd rather have an original game with under...
Just wanted to post a quick follow-up to this week's earlier update.
I reprinted the waterslide decals with a larger area of purple and applied them to the inserts. I let it dry overnight and went back today to trim away the excess.
Now, I don't want to jinx myself as the clearcoating has not...
Nope... not house paint.
You want a lacquer. This will be closest to what was originally used. Spray paint is usually a lacquer... but the small cans of Rustoleum you can get from Canadian Tire and other places are usually lacquer as well. This is what I would use if I was going to use a roller...
Hey Gordon.
Doug's description is the right way to do it for sure.
However, depending on the level of damage and the required effect, there are also slightly simpler methods such as paint pens.
If the wood damage can be easily filled with a spot putty or some light bondo, go ahead and do that...
These are Killer! I may have to mix and match between the two because I have a hard time deciding which to use!
I've been hunting around for really nice Banzai Run cards. I know the demand for this game is probably pretty low considering how few of them are out there, but I can dream :D
Thanks...
FULL HOUSE: getting through my playfield backlog one EM at a time: Jacks Open
Part 4
Well, the ongoing Jacks Open saga continues.
I gave up on the waterslide decals a few posts back for the playfield repairs. They were just too translucent to get a good colour match and covering.
I then went...
My mistake.
Yep... we've met Dan.
I've been cursed (or blessed) with a poor memory.
However, one meeting doesn't constitute knowing someone and I still dislike having to comment as I did on someone who's reputation I've only come by through 2nd hand experiences and hearsay.
In any case, if...
Re: Re:
Hold on. Let me just go back through your 15 posts since 2012.
Yep... huge contribution.
Thanks
I hate to comment on someone I've never met... but seems the only time your name comes up its in connection to some overpriced game or someone you're giving the runaround who's trying to...
