Yeah... I'm not a fan of extreme restorations where they are not warranted. That and it costs a LOT more time and money.
For some games it makes sense or is even necessary, but sometimes a little cleaning and some touch-up is all you need.
Sure, the trained eye will be able to see the repairs...
The front panel was extra nice
Here you see tons of missing/flaking paint and even some splitting wood. Here, my first step was to get some wood glue behind the splintering wood and press it down (clamp, tape, whatever works) and then go through the same process I already outlined...
I won't get into all the boring details of ongoing home renovations and keeping small children entertained on Summer holiday... but suffice it to say that free time for pinball has been in short supply lately. Last weekend I finally got the majority of the work done (just before we had about 30...
I can't comment on the replay extra ball as I don't set up my games that way. I leave the other extra balls in play, but a replay would have been a free credit back in the arcades and not an extra ball. That's getting too close to 5-ball territory for me :D
As for the saucer, it's probably...
Can't recall exactly Tim. But nothing crazy.
Probably somehwere between $250-$300? But don't let the quantity of parts fool you. If I had walked in with just 3-4 pieces it still would have run me a couple of hundred simply because they have a minimum charge fee structure.
Figures. I just commited to purchasing a Scared Stiff but promised myself I would not go crazy with mods or upgrades.
Seems all I see now are SS parts :FP:
Re: HUO LOTR LE For Sale (Price Drop)
My standard LOTR just sold for $6700 and had fewer extras than this game.
For $800 more you can have a HUO LE with tons of extras. Seems like a fair deal.
Good luck Reg!
Someone will be very happy with this.
You're ahead of me.
Since the garage 'explosion' I have been at a standstill. No playing ir repairing anything for a couple of weeks now :(
Luckily I got the last of the pegboard up and re-installed my workbench last night. Tonight I will go through all my tools (currently lying on the floor)...
Re: FS - TZ Twilight Zone - $6200 (pics up)
I think Mike was just teasing ;)
But proper red, yellow and orange pop caps are alway a nice touch on TZ as they tie in so closely to the skill shot colours. I find the factory colours are not distinct enough.
When I restored mine way back, I got...
That would be a good money maker... and I do have a few pins set up in the garage.
Unfortunately, our area is terrible for yard-sales so we're moving everything over to my in-laws near High Park.
That area is awesome. All the kids get together and we do one almost every year and have never left...
