    Pinball Cafe Closed

It's tough for the city to shut a place down. Even Captain Johns is still there, only effectively shut because they turned off his water and took away the gang plank. So Gord Parks version seems accurate enough to me. In hind sight, them opening with those zoning issues with the pinballs.... it...

    Home tournament rules

I have 2 pins, I'd like to invite a bunch of friends over for a friendly tournament. But I'm not sure how to run it. So my question to those who are more experienced... with my 2 pins, how would you put it together? How many people would you invite, how would you match them up, etc... any...

    JJP "The Hobbit" officially announced!

I can't help but be a bit suspicious that this $500k cash infusion is coming just as the WOZ production is ramping up. Is the money funding fulfilling the woz orders? I mean, MOST new companies don't last... so why is JJP any different? Time will tell, but I'm not sure I'd be comfortable...

When did you realize you liked pinball?

Played as a young teenager. But things got kicked into high gear visiting Church of the Silverball this summer with my wife. We bought our first machine a week or 2 after.

    TOPL membership?

Cool. I think we are all in the same boat that we want to promote and evangelize pinball. So it's a bummer when it becomes too much of a good thing.

    TOPL membership?

Any idea how leagues in other larger markets handle this? Or are we kind of screwed by the fact for a city so large there are hardly any public venues for pinball?

    TOPL membership?

Ok, well, 31 people is plenty. I couldn't have that many in my home. Then I'm not sure where the balance is found. I didn't realize you had such big turn outs, I thought attendance was a problem, thats why I suggested the public forum. Maybe that is not a good idea then.

    TOPL membership?

I think a more public message forum presence would be a great promotion for TPOL. I agree that home addresses need to be hidden, but that could be worked around. Lurkers could follow what was going on and be motivated to try it eventually. I'm certain it is not the group's intention, but it...
