The outcome was determined by speed, not ethics. It was a race to be first.

And that is what the seller wanted.

Some people just want a quick smooth transaction. They are not interested in the headaches involved to try to wring every cent out of a machine and dealing with a bunch of strangers. I have gotten a couple of very good deals from people who just wanted to get rid of them and knew I had machines.

On the other hand, if someone is spending thousands of dollars on an item and is too lazy to do some research first, that is on them. Some people just buying that one machine for nostalgia, don’t care what it’s selling for half way across the country.

Let’s agree to disagree then. I believe it’s you who’s missing the point. Someone not in the hobby selling their unwanted 300lbs door stop is different than someone looking to enter the hobby. In any case they were made aware of the value and didn’t give a shit. Ethics did in fact come into play. Why are you always sour when things sell lower than your perceived value. This doesn’t concern or affect you in any way. You come across as being more concerned about trying to make a buck than actually playing the games and enjoying them for what they are. Entertainment.

I find it way more unethical and shady when guys buy LE’s for profit and list them for 5k above market in the hopes of bamboozling some uninformed sucker. It’s a small community. We know who these guys are.
