How tilt settings affect pinball gameplay

Good write up.

I like the idea of tilt doing something other than ending the ball. A penalty coming with the warning like a section of the machine disabled for a short time. That would be a nice addition to pinball rules.

I was thinking about this after I read the article. I want a smart tilt system attached to motorized legs. If you're too rough with the machine it increases the pitch on you. Or maybe the leg motors go wacky and pitch and level are all over the place for a couple seconds.

I guess you could work that into playfield mounts instead. It would be an awesome feature to be able to move the entire playfield around with motors. Enter a "slow motion" mode and the playfield goes almost level for a short time. Enter "Warp drive" mode and it pitches to 8 degrees. "Sea sick" and the table sloshes around.
