Was just wondering if everyone is still using the Polk Audio PSW10 as an external sub, or is/are there another option out there? Can't seem to locate the Polks at a reasonable price; figured there may be other options now that I am not aware of?

Thanks

I have about 40 PSW10's. Best bang for the buck in regards to a pinball upgrade.
I have a few for sale for $200 ea if interested.

I have a few other subs, but only the PSW10 has the line AND speaker level inputs, which make it the best all around sub for pins (imo).

I have 3 different subs and all 3 have the line and speaker level inputs and they aren't PSW10s.

I would avoid getting individual 10" subs when you can get a 12" that covers 3 games and sounds much better. You will forever think that PSW10s are awesome and great until you hear something with more ooomf. I have a Klipsch 12" that covers 5 of my games. I use a passive sub mixer from Pinnovators along with the universal connectors (works on any manufacturer). There is no additional conversion needed to line level. Just clip the universal sub connector to the cabinet speaker, through the mixer and straight to the line in on the sub. The mixer has individual volume controls on all inputs. It can handle up to 5 inputs/games. Since sub frequencies cannot be located by your ears/brain(they always seem to come from all around) it doesn't matter that the sub is 5 feet to the side.

Yes all games can play at the same time and it's not garbled, just very loud lol. I realize lots of people can't wrap their head around this but think about it. It's no worse than having voice, sounds, and music coming from 1 speaker. Yes it can handle all.

Keep your eye on marketplace and Kijiji for the PSW10’s, I haven’t paid more than $75 for any of the ones I’ve bought over the years, cheap ones do pop, just need to be in the right place at the right time.

I’m down to one and do hook it up when I get a new pin, to my ears they don’t add a ton to the experience, I was adding them because everyone else was it seemed. I wouldn’t miss it if it was gone.

I've seen a few PSW10 last few days on FB marketplace for $60-75. Want me to send via Magnotta train again Kyle? ;)

You may not have it hooked up correctly or the volume of the sub is set too low. The difference should be massive. Are you connecting it to a modern pin? I won't even play a new pin until the sub is hooked up! :)

I have 2 PSW10 subs (one is hooked up to my turntable).

That Kliptcsh route as MrMikeMan suggested may be the best route to go? I need to get 4 more pins hooked up! Mike, I haven't seen any on marketplace, at least not near me sadly

It’s hooked up fine… I’m just not a big bass for the sake of bass guy, I can turn it up to hear it more, but then it’s just louder bass. It does nothing for me from an experience pov.

I like low bass in my movies, but prefer the bass that I feel in my chest and shakes the room… pinball music never reaches that low and even if it did the PSW10 wouldn’t help. I’ve got a nice SVS for in the theatre, so I’m not anti-bass, just on pins :)
