It was $20 entry plus $10 to compete on Sunday nights when that was going on. So maybe that.Good to hear that it is $20, I have been there about 6 times. I do know that the last time I went which was about March ,it was $30 but I guess Steve decided to drop it back down to $20. I may be wrong but pretty sure it must have been $30 for a brief period.
Yes, some of the flipper are starting to stick on a few machines. We hope to have those fixed in the next week or so. I have been trying to delay buying a lot of replacement parts due to the tariff fiasco.I finally got out to Antisocial, I don't know why I waited so long but boy was that a mistake. What a collection. What really sets this place apart is the number of premium/LE machines and the condition. Other than a few sticky flipper buttons the machines are pretty well cared for, especially some of the older ones.
My only wish would be that the machines have headphone jacks. I would love for the Sterns to have them, especially the music pins.
Also I know that Maximum Tune doesn't have cards but if I bring my own does anyone know if the card reader/writer actually works or is it going to eat my card?
Maybe it's because I come from the rhythm game community. Modern rhythm games all come with headphone jacks because of how important hearing the sound is. Of course it's less important for a pinball game but I find it pretty important on modern pins for understanding what your goals are. And of course music pins always benefit from being able to hear the music.Yes, some of the flipper are starting to stick on a few machines. We hope to have those fixed in the next week or so. Both Maximum Tune card readers work.
I wasn't sure if people would use the headphone jacks on machines if I installed them. A couple of the Jersey Jack's have them, but I have never seen anyone use them. That being said, I would use them if I was a customer.![]()
My wife and I LOVE playing pinball with headphones. It makes it all soooo immersive..Maybe it's because I come from the rhythm game community. I didn't notice that some of the JJ machines had them. I'll keep an eye out for that next time I am there
Ok so I don’t have 100’s of games but you can come over and we can order pizza and drink beer and play pinball.Going there in October during what is Chicago Pinball expo. Couldn't justify going this year due to everything that is going on,but still wanted to scratch that Pinball playing itch... 2 full days at Anti Social! Yes please. Pinball, pizza and beer(sssss).
Those are the best nights!Ok so I don’t have 100’s of games but you can come over and we can order pizza and drink beer and play pinball.
We keep a log of known issues that need fixing. Is there any official channel to report maintenance items that need addressing? I did mention one thing to the person working the desk but he seemed more like a front desk guy and not super familiar with the machines so I didn't think he took down any specifics.
I know getting parts right now is an issue but there were some machines down last night that I thought just needed adjustments like Zeppelin, Stranger Things, Avengers, Indiana Jones and Alice Cooper.
Also a drop target broke on halloween and it was getting knocked around the playfield. Definitely want to get that before it does any damage.
Still had a blast though. I am absolutely loving Dungeons and Dragons and I can't wait until the code is more complete. I also found out that Venom and Star Wars are my kind of machines. Those repeatable shots in Venom that you can hit over and over are so satisfying.
Understood. The adjustments I were referring to are ones that made the games unplayable but were all things I thought looked solvable without parts. We keep a log of known issues that need fixing.
We don't really make "adjustments" or "tweak" the machines like some people like to at home, it's hard enough to just keep them functional.
Yes, all these things need fixing. I know about all of them except the Stranger Things drop targets issue is new.Understood. The adjustments I were referring to are ones that made the games unplayable but were all things I thought looked solvable without parts.
Here are the specific things I can remember.
Zeppelin - the piece that comes up from the center of the playfield is not sitting flush with the playfield so it launches airballs
Stranger Things - center drop targets were stuck in the down position
Avengers - upper flipper is sticking in the up position. The ball knocks it free so it probably just needs cleaning and a new sleeve.
Alice Cooper - ball eject was unable to serve the ball into the plunger lane
We will be open this weekend. Will you guys be open this weekend October 17-19?
Why would you need a license to show it? It's on TV. Just like every other bar has the game on. Just don't know if he has cable, that's why I was asking.Highly unlikely as you probably need a license to show it.
