I might organize a group buy for the pinbits PAL chip as I know Dave Astill was interested in this too. I want to play Adriano's first and see how well integrated the shaker or get his opinion after more play time.

Thanks for the post and can't wait to try your LOTR out now with shaker to see if I want to do the same with mine. I also want to add a shaker to my SM and Tron in the near future too and wish i had stocked up last summer when PBL had a sale on their shakers for $125.

Anyone else in here have magical white smoke stories in a pinball machine to share besides Walt? :) I know monkeybuy's Lectronamo almost went down in flames and I think Menace was there too when it happened after he did some board repair??

If it doesn't affect game play or make the area of the game too dark I would personally leave the incandescent out. Again you are always welcome to come by and grab an LED off me and play some pins while having a beer.

I would probably switch out for an LED because an incandescent can get very hot and probably melt the rubber during longer periods of play. Cointaker also has these mini #44/#47 LED bulbs that are a much lower profile and won't even come close to touching the rubber...

A friend of mine is going to check it out today so will let you know how it turns out and will keep my eyes open for a nicer one.
