Re: Needed: Detroit pick-up, Toronto delivery
Drew, you am crazy! I betcha if you offered $7k for a SM at the usual sites (here, Kijiji, that other forum) you'd find one locally pretty quick. I'd sell you mine for that in a heartbeat if I didn't know that I'd just want to buy another one in a...
That's really dependent on the user. The manual does recommend a break every hour (more so to cover their own butts), but I watched Prometheus and Star Trek: Into Darkness in 3D from start to finish on this thing with no problems.
I figure those of us who stare at computer monitors all day...

Really cool item, but with a toddler and another one on the way I'll probably never use this again. This thing basically makes you feel like you're sitting in a movie theatre by yourself. Works in 2D or 3D, and works with...
Re: WTB Fish tales or Wolrd Cup Soccer
It does, yes.. though from what I can recall you can actually play the game without them :P
I know, but many lightning-flipper games got switched out for regular flippers. Lightning flipper replacements were hard to come by until recently. I had...
Re: WTB Fish tales or Wolrd Cup Soccer
I never really enjoyed Fish Tales (not a huge Mark Ritchie fan) until I played it with lightning flippers at Adriano's. It plays much better with those.. VERY fast.
Those are only the Stern seminar, guys.. there are plenty of others! Actually I recommend the LTG Show, that one's a blast and you can win free stuff.
Also take the Stern tour if you've never done it. It's pretty awesome.
24 hour pinball on Friday night / Sat morning is a blast, especially...
Let me save you some time if you were planning on going to Gary's seminar:
(Gary's talk in summary)
- He's been in the pinball business for 6X years (whatever his age is now)
- He can remember running around his Dad's factory when he was a kid
- His dad was friends with Harry Williams
-...
Hey fellas, my biggest concern with EMT donations is that I'm not sure how I'd keep track of them...
Honestly, your participation in the community is thanks enough for me. :)
... curse you, Wong.
Well, I'm KINDA right. I did say "NEWER" Sterns. :D
Since RBION does in fact have EOS, then I'd put my money on the switches just needing adjusting.
My biggest concern is that this game is going to have more of a "home-brew" feel than a professional quality to it. Time will tell, can't wait for the reports back from Expo! Lots of great reveals at this year's expo, I wish I was going..
You can order parts from The Playdium Store, their parts and shipping prices are reasonable for light needs like that. http://www.theplaydiumstore.com/category_s/2188.htm
There are cheaper places in the US but then you're dealing with longer shipping times and who knows what in duty fees. YMMV :)
start by checking to see if the coils are hot after a few minutes of play. If that's the case, they're swelling and making the sleeve constrict, causing binding. Also see how freely they move by hand.
