    ColorDMD's next game is...

This game could look great colourized. Dammit, that's two of these that I want now. Stupid crappy dollar...

Looks like the newest Stern pin is...

You mean like using the lockdown bar button on ACDC to make the next lit shot so you don't have to make it yourself? Or the torpedoes on star trek that score hits on the vengeance? You can run deadpool along with any villain, so it helps to get to Dark Phoenix. Yes, you can't control whether...

Looks like the newest Stern pin is...

You have more going on in Xmen than in any of those other games. If nothing else, you have opportunities to stack hero/vilain modes, and you can pull those in with the main MB as well. Combos to pull in Deadpool also adds some strategy to the game, since it makes difficult villain modes more...

The Hobbit Full Playfield Posted by JJP

I'm starting to come around on the idea of the drop targets. I think someone on pinside suggested using a strobing effect on the targets not just to have a moving target to hit, but a moving (or static) opening to hit a stanup behind the targets, so that the drops act like a barrier. Again...

Looks like the newest Stern pin is...

It's also Waison doing the code, and even though X-Men turned out to be good in the end, it took time getting there. Hopefully he does better out of the gate this time around. Honestly though, I'm not sure how much you'll be able to do with this to keep it interesting all the time. The reason...

New JJP WoZ variant on and hands on with Wrestlemania at EAG show in London

Well, there were those B/W games that experimented with unlimited ball timed games back in the 90s, but that never seemed to take off. This is neat because it's specifically targeted objectives for redemption. Having the big ass LCD also gives them space to show more detailed instructions...

New JJP WoZ variant on and hands on with Wrestlemania at EAG show in London

Also, the fact that these can be converted to "real" pins after the fact is a big plus too. Worked the same way with the Sterns I suppose, but that didn't have the timed game aspect, which I think works both ways. It keeps the non-players engaged for at least a couple of minutes, and it keeps...

New JJP WoZ variant on and hands on with Wrestlemania at EAG show in London

That WOZ variant is a good idea. Sounds like it makes for a bigger programming effort, but if it gets games out in the field again, then it helps. Of course, Stern's version of redemption didn't seem to light the world on fire, but this sounds like it's much more tailored to that environment...

    WWE LE Pics are up

So on the LE, the left and right ramps can both divert to make an "orbit", but I can't see where the ball gets into those wireforms that come off the ring (looks like one feeds the tag team hole, and one to the shooter lane). Those standing plastics with the wrestler pictures also look really...

    WWE LE Pics are up

It's easy enough to test-stand in front of a game, and see if you can reach the bottom of the backbox. I'd be fine, but my wife and kids wouldn't be able to reach it. Of course, the easy solution is to just attach a power bar to it, but it's still a little strange that they'd make a change...

    WWE LE Pics are up

Nothing on that feature list about "traditional power switch location" :) It looks like with the relocation of the transformer, the power switch is going to be at the bottom of the backbox. Not impossible to reach for me, but not as easy as the traditional location for everyone. LE looks...

    Any experts on MAME?

Just as an aside, how are the aimtrack guns? I've got one of the old ACT-Labs ones, and it's never worked quite right.

    Any experts on MAME?

Those are the ones that use the IR sensors, right? What's the issue? I never had any luck with getting light guns to work properly, but I was using a different gun setup (can't remember the name offhand, but it used an svideo passthrough to a CRT). Also, which games have you had an issue...
