    MAME with Raspberry pi3?

It's actually pretty complicated-depends on which of the MAME flavours you want to run on the pi: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/MAME/ 0.37b5 is the lowest version that's supported (by mame4all). It looks like lr-mame2016 supports the 0.174 set though. I'm going to see what I can find with...

    MAME with Raspberry pi3?

Anyone tried building a MAME off a Pi3? A friend at work had a spare kit and some arcade stick parts, so I offered to help put together a box for the office. I've got all the hardware working with RetroPie, and the console stuff seems to work OK, but the MAME romset I have for my cabinet is...

Lookee what I saw at PlayerOne today....

Played some more of this last night at TOPL, and I'm starting to get a handle on the rules for the game. Looks like a bunch of the character benefits aren't quite as strong as you might think: Barbosa claims "easier multiball rules", but apparently this also reduces scoring Elizabeth has...

Lookee what I saw at PlayerOne today....

Got a chance to play it at P1 this weekend, and I like it, but it seems really chaotic. I think I had 4 of the main multiballs running at once at one point? I'm also not sure what's up with qualifying chapters and collecting items (at least I think that's what you're doing). It's a game I...

    Stern's next pin is...

Honestly, I don't mind the idea of re-using an old playfield as a basis for a game, and trying to target something simpler isn't a terrible idea either. I wonder if the success of TNA helped with this at all? This game isn't for us though-it's for the Beatles collector who may or may not have...

Swapmeet at The Church. Save the date: Oct 27th!

At this point, I'm planning on coming by later in the afternoon with my son to check it out, but we'll see how things go.

    CGC Game #3 is...

I guess that sorts out the "new vs old code" question-the service menu still has "[email protected]" email on it. I hadn't noticed whether these were still on the other remakes. I wonder whether that still goes anywhere?

    CGC Game #3 is...

Any rule/software changes for the remake? There was talk about new code for the new version.

    ColorDMD's next game is Ghostbusters

That looks like a nice job. Still a damn shame that these things are that expensive, but it's at the point where I think I could do them in most/all my DMD games. Just need to spend a ton of cash to do so. Other than the free shipping on 3 displays, do they tend to do show discounts?

Dr@No's fun filled (and often long-winded) restorations

Neat-I've never seen those hardtop overlays before. Looks like a cool alternative to a full new PF!

    Stern Deadpool Teaser

Looks promising, but I think that right ramp shot is going to be tricky through that lane. Interested in seeing how this shoots. Pro looks to be the best of the bunch though. Not a huge fan of the art on the higher end models.

    Metallica Premium

When I've had problems like that, it's usually a case that the drive transistor needs to be replaced. You could replace the coil/fuse and see if it works, but if the driver is bad, it'll lock on. At that point, you know to replace the driver as well. Not sure on the exact configuration there.

    CGC Game #3 is...

Now, of course, the speculation is going to be on the "added features". I'd seen a couple of rumors about updated code, which is an interesting proposition. It opens the door to CCC as the next game if they've got the licenses to the point where they can release with modified software.

    JJP Hobbit Code Update 2.95

It's a good update-seems like it's mostly polish with new lights and sounds, but the rule tweaks might make a difference in tournaments. Making the mode won feed into the value of the arkenstone mode is interesting, and seems like it can go from 0.5x to 4x depending on the difficulty (they left...

    SHOOTER ARCADE GAME REVIEWS

T2 is in the same lineage as games like Operation Wolf, which I'm pretty sure are just disguised joysticks instead of actual light guns. Nothing wrong with that, and it actually might make them more reliable in the long run. As for gun games though, here's a few that I've always enjoyed...

    JP help

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking you could isolate with the whole display section disconnected. If the game boots normally without the DMD connected (or the DMD controller), then that's what's suspect.

    JP help

So the fuse that's blowing looks like it's connected to the display, which would explain what you're seeing on the DMD. What if you leave the display disconnected? Does the fuse still get hot? That in and of itself sounds a little odd, but then again, I don't think I've ever checked to see...

    Spectators for IFPA15

Adam isn't on here much these days, but I wouldn't expect so. Space will likely be at a bit of a premium with the number of players. Twitch is probably your best bet.

    Stern's next pin is...

I've never been a huge Iron Maiden fan, but the game does look pretty awesome. Seems like there's more stuff in this machine than in previous games. Looking forward to getting a chance to play it at some point.

    Stern's next pin is...

Stern has been including the metal leg protectors out of the box, so those should be covered. Not sure on cliffys-again, my GB had protectors on it from the factory, but that was about 8 months into the run. They tend to revise hardware as they produce games, so you sometimes get more stuff if...
