I am looking for a good place to get my Shadow habitrails replated gold. Anyone know of a good place somewhere inbetweren toronto and Niagara falls that does good work at a reasonable price? Thanks in advance.
To be honest, this game is really growing on me. I always thought of it a B-lister, but now that it is running good it is challenging and fun. Great light show, and great feel to the game. I love it.
Fixed!
Bay area amusements order arrived last night. New coil in. Bam! worked like a charm. This is how I remember the game. Plenty of loops around the supercharged now. Can't wait to play more and get to red line mania. Now the supercharger will hold the ball at the start of the mode...
OK, This is a different Golden Eye Magnet problem, with the same symptoms, IE magnets don't work.
Here's what happened. I spent 2 hours trying to diagnose this. I checked voltages at the board. 9VAC is good. +5VDC is good. +50V DC is actually 85V (seems crazy high but OK). I realize the...
Yup Still need help.
I did the ground mods to the main board in the back box. I also Notice this machine already has a wi-Numf Cpu board, so I didn't do a ground mod for that board. Also, I don't really understand the ground mods to do in the cabinet. If someone can explain it to me it would...
Sounds like intermittent operation to me. I would replace both emitter and receiver to be sure. I had the same issue. It would work for 2 weeks, then stop for no reason.
Damn coil!
I pulled the entire supercharge supercharger last night. I checked the resitance on the coil lugs outside of the game. High power was at about 6 ohms. Low power - nothing!. I'm thinking great, just a case of redoing the solder on the lugs. Pulled a winding, sanded it soldered...
Re: Supercharger problem almost solved
No one told me this diverter is like a flipper coil!
I didn't realize there was a Hi and a Lo attached to the supercharger diverter. That is why it is not working. High kicks in just fine, but I don't think Low is working. Could be a transistor...
I've had the LED break a wire between the LED and the solder pad, which you will never ever see. I had to wiggle the LED to discover it was completely disconeected. I imagine this happens over time with the vibrations of the machine. This leads to intermittent operation. I have 2 of the exact...
My current guess is ground mods to be done.
Had everything up and running on a bench test. 12 volts in, 5.1 volts out. No problems.
I'm thinking maybe ground mods, because I don't believe it is the boards fault.
Swiped an old desktop computer power supply from work. Now I have a +12V and +5V power supply for bench testing WOO HOO!
We'll get this power board working one way or another.
I appreciate it. Thanks Manace. I agree seems weird. Seems like maybe symptoms of some kind of solder crack. I'm thinking, but I did meter everything. I was thinking of just jumpering the whole board to make sure, but that makes a mess.
Re: Gottlieb system 80B 5v power supply.
No Dice!
Replaced the Voltage regulator LM 338K. Also replaced the pot.
Then I reflowed the solder at the connectors.
Then just to make sure, I checked for continuity everwhere with the DMD.
Here is what happened:
I screwed the board back in...
Can anyone tell me what components I need to swap on a Gottliebs Arean power supply to get it running again. Games turns on GIs, but not CPU, Sound or Display. Metered power supply board. 12-13v going in, only 0.4 to 0.8v going out. Nowhere near 5v. Seems simple, just wanna know what...
Wow, just Wow.
Order placed 3:05pm on Wednesday.
Friday afternoon a package shows up at the office. Could it be? Yup it was.
Absolutely awesome. A co-worker has some experience in manufacturing plastic parts and he was surprised that CPR can keep the costs so low with these small runs...
Re: Getaway LED toppers Flasher alternative
So these flashers were $15 taxes, shipping all in to my door from DH Gate.

Tied directly into the board that the old lights used to be tied into. The only minor hicup is that these lights...
