That's a pretty fun list of new inbound games! Congrats on all of those. Not a lot of Multimorphic's around, I heard they weigh a ton! And I'm excited to see some Fathom's land in Canada, that means some may hit the resale market one day :)
I agree entirely with your feeling on long game times. LOTR did not last long at my place for that very reason. If I had the room I'd keep all my games, but with limited space it was very easy to pass along... and easy to sell too, popular game!
I think the bigger hurdle is the two machines! :D
There was a post in the NBAFB thread on Pinside recently where someone had found substitute chips for the original ones that are no longer available. I'll see if I can find it.
Edit: This is the post I was referring to...
If you own two, you can link them and play head-to-head. They even made a cool marquee that spanned both games that is as rare to find in good shape as it is to see one that looks as good as this one!

Wow... this looks like a really nice example! Very cool. Owning two of these and linking them was on my bucket list at one point, recent price increases have moved it a little ways down the list now :) GLWS!
I do believe this is the thread and code they’re talking about. Easy to do. Costs a couple of bucks I believe, no changes to scoring… just audio/video.

I just checked again because that $20 seemed like a huge jump, I added one component to my cart and checked shipping for me and it was $8.
Were you on the US site vs Canadian site perhaps? Or maybe it was oversized?
Wow, shipping has gone up big time then, I just went and checked my last invoice from them, it was February last year so it's been a bit but it was a $8 charge for $48 dollars in parts. Checked a number of orders I made in 2020 and they were all $8 too... sucks if it's up to $20.
http://digikey.ca has lots of connectors too but you really need to know what you're looking for. Shipping is fast and the price is right, I think $8, if I'm not mistaken. GPE has things way better organized for pinball collectors though.
I asked the same question recently as well, was told not to worry about it, covered under content insurance... there is a ceiling to the content insurance however, so for those of you with large multi-pin collections you may want to make sure your total content insurance coverage aligns with...
Tough time to get into the hobby price wise but the games haven't changed, they're still a ton of fun to own an play, so if you have the disposable income to spare I'd say jump right in. If you're looking for an older used game in the T2 or newer area you're likely looking at well north of $5K...
I'm not sure what % of people are actually afraid to do it vs just simply can't be bothered. I've shipped before because I couldn't find a local deal and although it isn't "hard" it is an extra step I'd gladly not go through.
Extra steps I don't need to go through by not shipping
1. Look on...
I haven't followed MET game sales for a couple of years but I know the MOP was always in demand and fetched more, I like to think luch's estimates are always high, but I'm mostly in denial :) If any MET is going to top $10K this would be the one! But north of $15K? My goodness, sell it and grab...
Proof pic or video doesn't protect you, just don't send the deposit is the only sure way not to get burnt. I was involved in a deal a couple of years ago where the game very much did exist, yet people were still scammed by sending deposits. People suck, cash on the glass is the only way to deal...
Oh no... initiate a refund if at all possible. And a good reminder for anyone buying a pinball ever, NEVER send a deposit to ANYONE you don't know, like ever, like ever ever, if you miss out on a deal you miss out, another pinball will pop-up.
