Big thanks to Mike for helping me get a new plunger on the cheap!
Rush is now up and running and will be moved to its new home at Newark Brewing Co. in Beamsville in the next couple weeks....incase anyone wanted to play one in the wild.
Just an update - only got through about 20 hard games and it broke again. What's interesting is the glue held, the break is now further up the shaft. Not a permananent fix, but enough to get you up and running for a bit.
After a good dozen hard games, this fix is still holding. I'm a bit suprised to be honest. Just wanted to share the feedback, as this is a cheap fix that only takes a few minutes and can save you a few bucks.
I have a new AIQ pro and Super Chexx set-up at Newark Brewery in Beasmville, just off the QEW.
This post is just a shameless plug to get everyone out to play it!
The beer and food is really good there too. I reccomend the dunkel lager.
AIQ is set-up on Stern connected, so bring your QR...
That would be amazing mwong! Yes that is the correct part. $35 USD on Marco and out of stock. I tried Player one and they are saying Stern is out of stock as well. Let me know I can meet you anywhere in Beasmville and will PM you my home adress if you want to stop in for a pint and play some...
So my Rush machine, less than 500 plays, has its first broken mechanical part. Center scoop plunger assembly (Stern part number 515-7318-00). It is a standard solenoid plunger with the nylon plastic tip extension. Plastic tip broke off in normal play. I have dealt with this issue on 3 other...
Great fix! That is a tough one, I had the same issue on a CV. If someone else comes across this issue, I highly reccomend checking your stand-up targets for broken riviets. In my case, a broken brass rivet backed out a bit and touched a bracket. It just so happened that the ring master's head...
Bought a NIB Rush Prem. off Dylan last year. Great guy to deal with. If he says NIB, he hasn't even popped the staples to peak inside. This is a bargain and someone should jump on it quick.
OK, maybe I am just being too fussy, but I swapped out the incandescent flashers to LED on the Earthshaker. It looks great! However, everytime I press the flipper buttons 4 flashers pulse for just one brief moment. I believe the high power side of the flippers somehow makes its way back to the...
There is an issue with the switch matrix. Likely a broken wire under the playfield. Check the switch matrix in the manual, see which row or column is tied to the outhole and see if the row or column is the same as the outhole. That tells you to look for that colur broken wire. It could be broken...
It is there for a short time only. Eye candy to draw people in and allows me to justify a business expense and depreciation. That one is headed back to the basement soon.
New thought - Could the fan have gone on the power supply? Would that cause an overheat fault on the power supply kicking the plugs off? It's a $200 guess and I don't want to be wrong. Let me know your thoughts.
Alright I don't even know where to start with this one:
I currently have 3 newer Stern spike 2 games on route and a superchexx bubble hockey.
Everything is set-up with Global smart plugs so I can remotely switch the machines on and off. The smart plugs are all on the same circuit. The plugs...
Turning this thread into a Canadian Roller Coaster thread, to keep my WTB post active.
Roller Coasters I've been on:
Mindbender (WEM Edmonton AB) First grown-up roller coaster I went on, largest indoor coaster in Canada back in the day
Dragon Mountain (Marineland, Niagara Falls ON) Longest...
