Ha ha! Ya, I'm definitely showing my age here. Let me just put away my punch tool.
Can go right next to the butt set?

Technically reverse engineering that stuff would probably voilate their new EULA, but I don't think anyone is really going to care. For now, I'm just waiting to see if they add anything else useful to the games beyond achievements, basic score tracking, and auto-filling HS initials.

Nice and can you explain what and why you did some of your mods?
Lets see off the top of my head...

• 12U Server Cabinet for enclosure (more stable print temps and piece of mind for fire safety)

• Remote mount the controls and PCB outside of the enclosure (cooling and ease of use)

• TH3D EZ Board V1 (upgraded to a 32 bit board silent board, great aftermarket board with easy firmware updates)

• TH3D EZABL capacitive Auto Bed Level system (no bed adjustments required)

• TH3D EZOut Filament Sensor

• Meanwell Power Supply (much more stable better built power supply)

• Solid Bed Mounts (ABL system doesn't require any adjustment)

• Dual Z Lead Screws (Eliminates X gantry sagging)

• Upgraded Lead Screw Coupler

• Upgraded Lead Screw Nuts

• High Amp MOSFETs (using external mosfets removed the large electrical loads from the main PCB)

• 5015 Fan & Petsfang Blokhead Fan duct (much better print cooling for higher speeds and bridging large gaps)

• Tough PTFE Fittings

• Tough Tube

• Aluminum Extruder (obvious weakness in the stock design)

• Plus a LONG list of others I made myself

Can't believe I just saw this 3d printing post. Here's my heavily modified Ender 3.
I had similar upgrades on my first printer which was cartesian then started from scratch again with a corexy and modded again from there. Other than the printer itself the biggest upgrades were writing, compiling and flashing customizing Marlin firmware for a BLTouch adding in auto bed levelling and silent steppers. Hardware wise I just needed to replace the steppers on the board and install the touch sensor but I kind of started out with what I was looking for the second time buying a printer. If I was going to go any further it would be with a really good hot end but I haven't had any major issues with the one on there.

Hi all,

Anyone know of cost effective 3D printing services here in Canada for a simple one off piece?

They seem to be everywhere in the US.

Looking to get a piece made to eliminate the pops ball trap on a GnR LE.

Thanks.

There aren't a lot of options for one off pieces that make sense financially especially if you need it to be modeled as well.
Do you already have the 3d model or does it need to be made? And do you have pictures of it?
If it's simple enough and you have a drawing with dimensions I could probably do it for you, but I would need to see first since I can't promise I'd be able to model it without seeing it.

If you have the STL file let me know what color you'd like (assuming I have it) and I can print for you.

There is an STL file on thingverse (see next post).

Thanks.

The STL file in on thingverse.

Two in black would be great.

I would like to pay for them and shipping as well as something for your time.

Thanks.
There's two sizes so not sure which one you need but it's a small, simple print so I could print you 4 of each and you'd have the right size and some spares in case of breakage. Would be less than 2 hours to print them all. If you want to measure the post we could print the correct size, unfortunately the thingiverse page doesn't explain why there are two sizes so not sure how you know which one you need.

It's such little material I'd be fine with $5 plus shipping. I don't have many excuses to use my printer these days so always looking to use it.
It's such a simple file though either myself or mwong should have no problem providing it.

Was researching the differences between the two on Pinside.

Apparently the first file uploaded could rip at the post due to materials used for the print/violence of the ball hitting it.

The second file (bumperpostbiger.stl) just thickened the wall material around the post.

The inner diameter should be the same.

I would use bumperpostbiger.stl.

Looks like there are two offers here. My cup runeth over. :)

Would be looking for a few (2-4 I guess) of bumperpostbiger.stl in black.

Corrie or mwong168, I would accept either offer.

Located at L8E5W5 for shipping costs. Can do Paypal or E-transfer. Whatever is easiest.

Thanks all.

Hi all,

I want to publicly thank Mike for hooking me up with the GnR pop bumper ball trap part.

He went above and beyond after Canada Post ate TWO packages he kindly sent.

A real stand up guy for the community.

Thanks Mike.

No problem and had I known you come nearby my house for work regularly I wouldn't have bothered mailing and left in my mailbox. Sorry it took you almost 2 months to get these parts and hope they work.
