Looking good-apparently anyone with a preorder can switch up to the Smaug LE for free? Just emailed SB checking whether I can switch. I like the side art on the Smaug cabinet, but I'd like to see what the gold Smaug toy looks like before deciding for sure. Still no updates on production dates though.

So do we know if this is final or not? There's the usual "features subject to change" on the flyer, and I have a feeling that there's still something that hasn't been revealed here. Wasn't the crystal ball screen a late game addition on WOZ?

If nothing else, we know the software should deliver on this. Looks like a ridiculous number of modes.

I *believe* the game HAS to start shipping in December as part of their license agreement. So I'm guessing what you're seeing is what you get. This will be a software driven game for sure, 'cause there ain't a whole lot to shoot at by the looks of things.

No idea what has to start shipping when-I'm just going by what I got from Jack the last time I emailed him about it. Said that production was starting mid-december, so I'm probably getting my game sometime in early(ish) 2015? Not sure when the first preorders went in, but I've been on it since last summer. The build pace should be faster than WOZ though, right? In any case, I just upgraded to Smaug for free (but I did have to increase my deposit).

As for the game itself, software will definitely be the deciding factor here. The 4 popups in the middle of the PF will change the geometry on the fly, and as long as the features are all used well, it could be a great game. Look at how many "interactive" toys there are on LOTR, SM, AFM, or TSPP?

I hope for your case this is true... there are people who pre-ordered WoZ over 3 years ago who still don't have their game.

All the LEs have shipped. Sounds like that was more a case of supplier problems than anything else. Hopefully most of that is sorted out this time around.

Well, that's certainly more dragon. Sounds like there's still some fine tuning to do on the book etc, but I like where they're going. Still in on this one.

I wondered the same, but then again, look at ANY game with little to no sound, and no software. Gets boring really fast. Already looked like some interesting stuff going on with strobing drop target shots, and it also appears that the popups can get hit from behind, so I can see that getting used differently in the software where you can go up one of the ramps with the diverter in a turnaround and hit one of them from the back for an "ambush" or something like that.
