I'm not sure if you are aware, but The Walking Dead was originally a comic.
This is not at all the art style that the comic was done in. (Daryl does not even exist in the comic).
I'm pretty sure Stern does not have the license to make a version based on the comic.

The pinside crowd are writing this game off site unseen and never having played it. I suspect it will play very well and look much better in person.
The Jaws 50 is like that. It looks much better in person.
Dune is a great game tho - I would buy that over this on theme alone.

I am glad some like it. Personally, I think it is terrible. I buy my machines for theme and atmosphere...I know I am an idiot, but I don't even play my games (that's why some of you get such amazing examples when you buy from me). I think this game completely missed the horror, barrenness, and despair that The Walking Dead entailed. This does look like a Disney version/rainbow puke of a classic game. OOOh, the well walker moves independent and we added some heads to the slings; whoopdeedoo...I miss my TWDLE, it was far more tastefully modded than this Stern game. Sometimes I believe - it it aint broke, don't fix it (except for Metallica. I think I was one of the first METLE owners and I remember being super disappointed with the "feel" of the game's art/colouring. The new one kicks ass and should have been that way from the beginning)!
I know there a lot of Stern fans that cannot see past their narrow beliefs, but I feel that they are slowly slipping down the rungs of innovative and desirable machines. Not saying their games aren't fun (I mean it's pinball right), but I wouldn't pass my Spooky's on for anything.
Maybe now we will finally get a new LOTR? Hopefully they don't mess that one up either.....

I'm with you guys on the rainbow colors. Throws me off. Stern totally missed out on perfecting the LE. Could have been much more darker/horror themed; give more of a zombie feel. Damn, even the inside blade art is whack. But I will say the new LE has the cool bullets on the side of the machine that light up and the LED screen is awesome. I'm sure the play and sound will be great too, but damn, that poor choice of overall appearance.
Wick's "no guns" was Lionsgate saying no guns... There are guns on this TWD...
And what are you talking about "no blood"? There is blood on the sides of the LE. There is blood on the new pez dispensers on the slingshots...
The colours on this machine though, I don't like at all. It doesn't fit the theme.

I got a chance to play this game a couple of times the other night at League (thanks Nick!), and it's still a walking dead. The game shoots pretty much the same as the old game, which is a good thing. As for the look of the game-I like it. Not sure if it was the brighter paint job or better lighting, but it was pretty easy to track what was going on in the game, and it didn't look out of place with the theme. Then again, I read the comics and never watched the show, so to my mind, The Walking Dead has always been in B&W.
They just added IC achievements with the code update today. I played it up in Ottawa at the provincials, and was floored that they released this without the basic achievements in the game.
