World’s Leading Arcade-Quality Pinball Maker Offers AC/DC Pro With Improved LED Lighting and Swinging Bell

MELROSE PARK, IL – August 5, 2014 – Stern Pinball, Inc., the world's oldest and largest producer of arcade-quality pinball games, announced an upgraded AC/DC Pro model with all LED lighting and a newly designed swinging bell. Originally released in early 2012, AC/DC and Stern Pinball have made history by creating a fan-favorite pinball game and an iconic pop culture classic. The new AC/DC LED Pro features technological upgrades implemented by Stern in its current Pro models. In addition to the LEDs and the swinging bell, the new AC/DC LED Pro is manufactured with Stern’s updated modern metal and wood back box with a decaled cabinet and speaker housing. All the other great game features, art and music are unchanged from Stern’s earlier AD/DC Pro.

“With the AC/DC license expiring at the end of December 2014, we wanted to offer our operators and enthusiasts a great earning game with the enhanced features that we’ve recently developed,” said Gary Stern, Chairman and CEO of Stern Pinball.
Stern is planning a small immediate production run on this upgraded game so order while supplies last.

One of the best games in pinball.

I still like the Pro better then the premium, much faster playing game, not sure how the swinging bell is going to change things.

If I still owned the Pro I'd be a little pissed at the Bell upgrade on this one.

The Angus face doesn't bug me, but the game plays so fast you don't really have time to stare at it anyway

I think its the teeth that bug me tbh.

Im happy with my Premium. The underplayfield is decent, but not a buying factor. Wish it was easier to access, as I want to change the mini flipper rubbers.

One day I will pull them out

Anyone else think its sad how dimpled the playfield is on this "brand new" machine??

I know the canon abuses the playfield a lot, and on the premium the drop targets add some 'pop' to the ball, but my god, Angus' cheek looks horrible here.

Neat idea-I'm sure it doesn't come with them, but it'd be nice if they added the option to swap in colour changing LEDs like they have in the Premium/LE.

I don't think those are dimples and more orange peal from the poor clear coat application.

Wonder how the game deals with a ball that gets stuck behind the swinging bell? There's no saucer or laneway exit to the left orbit. Perhaps the bell only does half a swing - from rest position to target and back?

On the original ACDC Pro the bell shot is consistent, predictable. This variation makes for two different playing ACDC Pro games. So now we have three versions of ACDC pinball where each plays a little differently. :FP:

Wait, I know, lets change the left ramp and have it feed the right inlane/cannon, and the right ramp feed the left inlane. We can call it the 'Re-improved AC/DC Pro'.

As for the leds... you can keep 'em.
