Medieval - had the display failing.
I tested the color DMD on another machine and it is fine and could see the menus using its built in buttons (Still can).
I checked all fuses (looked OK) I started reseating ribbon cables.
at some point I go the display to light up with garbage.
After resating more ribbon cables I could ... now it still powers on and can play (start button works)
but display still 100 % blank and no sound at all ...
and test buttons in coin door do not work at all.

ideas?

I can't remember-does a colorDMD connect to the original display controller board? That could be the culprit, although not having any sound is also strange. I think that the coin door buttons go from the coin door interface board to the CPU board, so assuming that connector is OK, it could be an issue with the CPU board?

Have you still got the original display for the game, or just the colorDMD? If not, if you start with the display disconnected, do the coin door buttons/sound/game work?

I would start going back through what you touched or changed or reseated and confirm again they are correct. Especially the ribbon cables. Make sure the red line side of the connector matches where it was originally and that none of those connector ends are misaligned by a pin or two. I failing display won't cause what you're seeing so it has to be something you've affected in your troubleshooting.

How did your display start to fail? Missing lines? Something else?

Was the game working properly before all of this began?

Start posting pictures of the boards, connectors, ribbon cables, back of coin door, etc. so guys on here can try and help you spot what the issue is.
