So I think that's a lie from what was posted here:

They are not absorbing anything, it's being cost recoverable pinballis not available within Canada (very simple summary from what Pat posted)
Pinball Medics recently confirmed that our Comet Pinball LED's are not subject to reciprocal tariffs at this time.

All customers who were charged tariff fees related to LED purchases were refunded in full last week, and Tariff charges are no longer applied to our LED's on the site.

Significantly, Pinball Medics is in the process of requesting remission of tariffs on pinball machines and games from the Canadian Government as there is no other source for licensed products that are not products of the U.S.

I can confirm that Pinball Medics does not yet have a judgement, or if any other Canadian retailers/resellers have or will meet the criteria for the remission of Canadian Reciprocal Tariffs, but based on the verbiage of the link above, and the realities of our position as Commercial Pinball and Pinball Parts sellers, I am confident that the conditions will be met.

The moment we receive a judgement, we will be removing all Tariff charges from all products immediately, and beyond that, it appears we can claim for the many $1000's of dollars we have already spent thus far.

Upon confirmation of this, we will begin the arduous task of refunding all Tariff charges to Customers who have bought anything since we began charging these fees.

I am not announcing this on our Site or Social Media until we have confirmation, but wanted to share it here as there is a lot of confusion related to Tariffs and Pinball, and we are trying our best to keep ourselves and Canadian Pinball enthusiasts up to date throughout the rapidly evolving realities for businesses and their customers.

On another note directly related to this Post;

I would like to say it was not only an honour, but an absolute pleasure reselling new Stern Games and Accessories from Jeff Evans at Mana Lounge.

After meeting at Wasaga Pincon last year, based on a few words and a handshake, he has provided Pinball Medics, the Ottawa Pinball Arcade, and the Montreal Pinball Arcade with new Stern machines for ourselves and our client base until this unfortunate turn of events.

I was on the phone with Jeff the day he drove back and forth to Chicago to pick up the X-men for the Ottawa Arcade launch party. He was so pumped all the way down, but not so much when he was obliged to return to London for family commitments, to turn around and drive back a day or so later 8+ hrs to pick up the game, 8+ hrs back to London, for the second time in a many days no less, then 6+ hrs to Ottawa with stops in between to meet other time commitments, and to make sure we had our X-men in time for the tourney. He still had enough energy to stay and help me clean and tweak my Stern lineup for the event, and then some guys that weren't us played X-men in my office for $5/game for hours! They seemed to have really enjoyed it especially no one having ever tried it so the old classic guys stood a chance...

I generally leave collector newsgroups to collectors. Pinball people would find me if I was hiding. I would also not sell on a forum Jeff is on as that is his target client base, Pinball Medics was promoting Mana Pinball to our retail client base to provide an option for our many old and new customers, as well as them supplying our Arcade lineups with their Demo games. And while there is certainly overlap, it is also a basic professional courtesy.

I have been aware of this situation for a time, and have been concerned with the outcome Mana Pinball and Jeff personally were facing, and had hoped this could be resolved, but now it is confirmed.

So personally, I have to say that the amount of work (so much time, effort, and _lots_ of money) that went into the Mana Pinball location, website, inventory, management, delivery, etc. etc. was monumental, and their service was beyond next level. Because for some people, they Love doing this Pinball thing so much that it's not just about the cash, or trying to be "the man", as it is Experiencing their Passion at the highest level they can imagine. And continually striving for more. Not many people will do it and the few that do will never claim it because they're too busy doing it. Jeff is on the count on one hand list I've dealt with after so long in pinball it's not true. The real deal.

Imagine if enough letters made it to Stern. Not bitter letters pointing fingers elsewhere, but pointing out the amazing customer service Mana Pinball provided, going out of their way in so many ways I can't even begin to list them here. But the evidence is in the history of every post made related to a dealing with Jeff. No exceptions.

I could say more and anyone who know me knows I likely will, but for here I'd just like to thank Jeff for his continued mutual support, and will welcome working with him anytime in the future to help promote Canadian Pinball Culture and Experience Pinball in old and new ways always.

It's also still on Colin (Kineticist) news website, Tommy had to step down until the shit storm was over.
They managed to get the thread removed from pinside. I wouldn't be surprised if this thread disappear too.

They're one of the big sponsors / advertisers on Pinside. Money talks, as usual in this world.

Yes - They sell into the US also. They had a booth at Texas I heard.
Maybe the US sales will keep them afloat. The pinball community is quite small in Canada. After having such a sicko company history and pulling dirty stunts to shut down competitors, I cant see a lot of people buying from them in the future. Karma is a bitch!

Did someone posted this thread on the FB pinball machines for sale , canada, qc, ont ?
Bruce the admin of the Central Ontario Pinball and Arcade group did a post here:

More stuff happening here as well: https://www.facebook.com/groups/134...16513922461200/?sale_post_id=1816513922461200

On my end, I manage the Ontario Arcade and Pinball for sale group and admins from other groups across Canada contacted me to discuss about a potential ban of Nitro from all groups. I'm waiting to hear back from Stern management.

I feel if the company was hitting home runs and doing a great job then people probably would not be talking this way. Ive dealt with both parties involved and had a good experience with both and also a bad experience with one of the parties as ive purchased multiple pins from them. Doesn't mean I'm boycotting but I can see peoples frustration. It's a forum where people can speak. seems like a lot of people are not satisfied and I don't think its just the rumour stuff from what I'm gathering. Just my two cents

Wasn't Nitro the guy who was accused of harassing women a few years ago?
Yes, Nitro's Tommy Floyd. And I believe the term "harassing" and "groping" can be used interchangeably in the occurrence you are referring to. The amount of spin and damage control that occurred following the incident would have made your head spin.

If Nitro wants to sling mud at competitors, the community can sling back by pulling those skeletons out of the closet...or just play nice and avoid doing business with Nitro altogether.
