Got my game last Thursday. Very impressed with the build quality. Had 1 disconnected wire (cabinet speaker) and that was it for issues. Game is obviously very nice to look at but the play is so different than other JJPs. It's refreshing albeit a bit unnerving. It's been said before but he game is FAST. Ball paths aren't always obvious and before you know it you drained due to inattention. Looking up at the screen for info is impossible unless the ball is trapped up. The audio cues/call outs are the key. Some folks on Pinside are pissed off that the movie dialog isn't louder but honestly it's irrelevant. I'd much rather hear where to shoot instead of hearing dialog I've heard a hundred times. Yes I know all the movies that well lol.
There's almost too much content. They don't really have a choice of letting everything stack otherwise you'd never see most of the game. Games are long playing once you get the shots. But even long playing games aren't actually progressing much story wise. There's the main school years(movies) to play, quidditch, 4 MBs, fighting death eaters, and various other "side modes" all going on at the same time. My best game was 30 mins long and only got through 1 school year out of 6. I did do most of the side stuff though including the MB mini-wizard which is Battle for Hogwarts.
Overall I'm pretty happy about the purchase. Code is only 75% complete at this point. Hopefully they carve out some special modes that run independently to highlight them. The battle for hogwarts and end year exams are 2 good examples of modes that should probably run on their own while pausing the rest of the chaos.
