CE already ordered for us. I sold SW + topper and LT specifically to get the funds for the CE. I expected 25k for the CE and right now my invoice is 25.2k including shipping(and taxes/exchange rate) - I guessed pretty close.

It’ll be a keeper for us, like Labyrinth.

well I had to let go of my ED as I was not willing to pay the tariffs. I did make a profit off it, so im going to try my hands on my first JJP. I went with the wizard mode. I really like the sound on avatar and I feel HP will deliver even better sound so fingers crossed gameplay reveal is a good one.

Ya JJP is saying the sounds and callouts are over the top on HP, with custom call outs made by the voice of the sorting hat which seems appropriate. The sound developer also did Hobbit which is well known to be the most movie immersed game every made and he is saying that HP is a 3x improvement. Really can’t wait to see this game in a game play video but I am also thinking the Wizard Edition is the sweet spot all around.

Which model does it best for you?
Like you I prefer the Wizard cab and back glass art work but hate the topper.

I have a CE ts4 and the sparkle playfield is really nice. Really torn but I think the topper and 300 more RGB lights will make me go with the CE.

I'm not sure if it's refundable. If you're unsure, go see them in person and decide then. They will be making these for a long time.

Nice to see what the PF looks like-looking forward to shooting it. The rules flowchart reminds me a bit of Hobbit or POTC at first glance. If I did ever end up getting one it'd likely be the Arcade edition (given that it's feature complete).

Maybe I don't hang out in casinos enough but I don't hear it. Out of the thousands of comments on the Pinside thread, only 2 pinsiders are saying this. Really wondering what you are hearing.

Hi guys, if you’re in Ontario, I can take Harry Potter orders for nitro. I’m working to get the first batch of CEs shipping soon!
Thanks,
Nick Angel

Agreed with Halfwasted that some of the sounds are kinda slot machine-like. More so when I watched the gameplay video a few times.
The sounds remind me of Wonka or TS for some reason.
That can still be improved with code.
The game does look fun with pretty smooth flow and immersive theme integration.
Hopefully, the various modes for each movie continue to be a bit more fleshed out & don’t come across as repetitive.
It’s a beautiful looking package with a packed pf in any event (like many JJPs).
Not a buyer at this point yet, but looking forward to give this a spin.

I'm not a HP fan but the games does look great and the LCD display does an incredible job incorporating the film assets. Having owned GnR and WOZ, I always get concerned that the LCD will get a little over populated with too many different things going on at once. If you can flip between the first 6 films when starting the game, that may remove some of the repetitiveness I hated about WOZ and the video footage. I feel bad for those that forked over $9k US for the Turner Merlin's Arcade and could have spent a $1k more to get this game.

These will be around & available for years for purchasers to make a fully informed decision to proceed.
Thankfully, the ole days of missing out on a limited release & flipping are over.
Particularly, for JJP’s model of essentially unlimited LEs & CEs, buyers can now take their time with this significant cash outlay.
I mean $20k+ for a LE or $25k for a CE is crazy money.
If not bolted, it’s def caveat emptor…

After watching the gameplay video, JJP seems to always have slot machine sound effects in there games and this game is no different. It is disappointing that the sound design seems so weak again.
The slot machine sound bothers me too. Also, I'm not a fan of rainbow light.

I will definitely try the game before buying it.

Yeah, for Harry Potter, the rainbow light show combined with the carnival-type sounds, doesn’t exactly match the often darker HP universe. JJP love their hundreds of LEDs strobing out.

The big reason I went with a JJP is because of the lighting and casino sounds lol.. I said exactly " slot machine sounds" while describing why I want the game last night. lol. Avatar has them also. Im a fan of it. Some peoples cup of tea I guess.

Well, there’s an ass for every seat lol. Just joshing ofcourse… but at least you’re not buying it cause your significant other said it’s a must have…!
This is a crazy hobby now with the insta-losses.
