I noticed someones machine on youtube and looked under the playfield and it's a board, does anyone know or has anyone changed their villain lights? thanks!!!

It's likely the case similar to some of the other newer Stern games. They use a clear insert and a white LED light (kinda boring to look at, especially it's not much more for an RGB LED at the factory install). Hence to change the colour of that insert you need to install the bracket mod that contains a coloured film between the insert and the LED. I have not looked at the Deadpool directly but this would be my guess based on other machines.
I found "pin monk" from a Deadpool thread on Pinside, He does a whole board for the villains and multipliers and it may just do the job.
