As Mike pointed out I sold mine for $6800, but the buyer decided to have me remove the rottendog driver board I installed so I knocked off $300.
It was totally done. Cabinet was all redone, playfiled as well (with 3rd magnet). Lots of very hard to find mods but tastefully done.
It had lots of...
Re: EIght Ball Deluxe or Jack to Open or any classic wedge
Too bad you didn't know they went for over $1300-$1500 at the time
Much appreciated either way though. Money ain't everything. Just think of all the hours of enjoyment you'll get out of it when you come over!
Now, if you ever...
Re: EIght Ball Deluxe or Jack to Open or any classic wedge
I think Jacks Open falls into the category of maybe 3-4 elite and hard to find EMs that generally command well over $1000 and often close to $2K.
Games like El Dorado, Centigrade 37 and definitley Jacks Open do not represent the...
Re: The Six Stages of Pinball Collecting (plus Vengeance mo
so... at what stage do you start buying multiples of the same machine in order to "upgrade" an existing and perfectly nice example with a slightly better one? :FP:
Even after removing an entire harness, you see pretty quickly that things line up one way. There are a few moments where you'll need to refer back to some pictures, but for the most part it all lines up nicely and seems more scary than it actually is.
Since you'll be doing a hot-swap, it'll be...
Re: The Six Stages of Pinball Collecting (plus Vengeance mo
The props are the best part of kieth's pics ;)
I notice Mike had to repaint the stair-well after the first few... it's TIGHT!!!!
Now his wife has just given up. The scrapes on the wall add to the charm :D
I would definitley avoid the Ultra-Pin if you wanted to go this route and try and get something more "substantial" built.
I'm sure Mike could point you in the right direction.
Wow, Mike's going for The Big Year! (if anyone out there is in into birding ;) )
Hilarious movie too BTW
Let's see... I shot some clearcoat on a repro WH2O playfield that I corrected, a Stern Cheetah, two Centrigrade 37 and my recently touched-up Farfalla.
Nothing final to show yet, just middle...
It really makes you wonder what Gottlieb's art department was smoking there near the end? :FP:
I know a lot of us cry for the return of original themes, but Genesis is just one big ???
Re: The Six Stages of Pinball Collecting
Definitely in stage 5 here... but closing in on the end of it for sure.
I don't see myself paring anythng down just yet, so maybe there's a happy nirvana-like stage 5.5 in there somehwere where, like Alexander the Great, you survey all you have attained...
I have purchased 2 and working on a 3rd (and I have also seen/heard reviews from others) and I would say this statement is not 100% accurate.
I would say that the machines are generally "running" for the most part. If they are not, Gerry usually says so.
That being said, there will be errors, a...
Those look super interesting.
Would love to see how they work once you get it.
My first question would be, how does it do with uneven inserts (raised or lowered)... and how does it stay down?
Very cool
Glad you found a solution Adam.
With projects of this scale, a little time to breath and think things through is never a bad thing.
You very often end up with something compeltley different from what you original envisioned... but much better!
Getting there is definitley a lot of the fun.
I've...
