Figured it out. Even though the mechanism isn't installed, there's a switch on the door to trigger credits.

    SOLD April 2013 list

I've only had my first container game in my basement for just over a week and I already feel the urge to tackle another! Maybe I'll hold off for another container or two...

From what I've read so far, it looks like the only way to have the machine on FREE PLAY is if I run the game in Tournament mode. The problem with this is that it's only single player, and your score leaves the display within seconds of finishing a game. Seeing as I do not have coin mechs in, is...

Right? I've already shut it down 3 times, gotten into bed to watch TV, then got back up to play some more. I've also set my alarm 45 minutes earlier, so I can play in the morning before work.

I felt the coupler was cured enough to give it a try. I reinstalled to motor, and it works! Now that I've got all the switches behaving, I should be able to play an actual game. Fingers crossed!

It's still got some curing to do, but here's the coupler after my fiberglass job. I'll try it out tomorrow.

I removed the ball locks optical sensor, (transmitter side) gave it a good cleaning and reinstalled it. It registers now. I don't think it was seated right before.

Well, I did what must surely be the sloppiest fiberglass job, but once it dries and I can file it down a bit, it should do the trick.

I had an opti sensor issue yesterday, but got it cleared up pretty quick. A little alcohol (for me and the sensor) did the trick. Now a bigger problem. The plastic coupler that joins the motor to the heli arm crumbled due to age last night. I've glued it back together, but I'm going to wrap it...

The game is playing fairly well, but it seems there may be a couple of switch issues. There are a couple of shots that cause game play to stop until the ball search finds the ball. For example, when it drops in to the ball lock up top, it just sort of sits there until it triggers ball search...

That's awesome, thanks guys! I bought a money order to send pinball resource for a manual. It was going to cost more than $40 with shipping. Good thing I forgot to drop it in the mail last night!

I threw 4 balls into it and everything runs great. Even the helicopter works. So far the only thing I've noticed is the light bulb in the rotating light up top is burnt out. It does spin, though. So far I'm extremely pleased with the condition of the pin. I'm hoping to have the rubbers changed...

YAY! I got it to fire up! There's a short little (terrible quality) video here: http://www.multiball.org/2013/05/its-alive.html Soldering a new fuse holder on the power module did the trick. There's some pretty loud 'feedback' coming out of the speakers, even with no volume. Might that be a bad...

I can't do any more work on it until after 9pm tonight, but here's where I am at so far: http://www.multiball.org/2013/05/busted ... older.html _____________________________________________________________________ I've had some issues powering up my machine. One of the things I've discovered is...

I just tested it with a multi meter, but didn't get any reading. Does the playfield have to be down and locked in place for the modules receptacle to work? Or should it have power as long as it's plugged in/turned on?

Thanks for the info, Doug. There's some really great stuff there. (didn't know the switch could be pulled out ;)) I tested the power coming in from the new power wire. It shows 120v, so that's good. I tested the continuity on all my fuses in the cabinet, (haven't done the ones in the head yet)...

Very good advice. I think I'll take it. I've decided to not do any more power stuff tonight, and have kicked into cleaning mode instead. :) The playfield actually looks pretty great once the grime is wiped away!

Hmmm, I tried to power it up a few minutes ago, but got nothing. When I found all that crap in the cabinet, one of the things I found was a fuse holder. I see in the lower right hand side of the front cabinet is a power-supply sorta thing. (I'm pretty sure its not a P.S., though) I see a fuse...

Thanks for the info, that was sort of what I was thinking. I just wanted to confirm. I'm having way too much fun working on my pin. That's half the fun for me!
