So what is the value difference for a VE model? I would assume a flood of newer re-releases kills the value of all the non limited models. Maybe even the LEs if the vault shared some of their limited features.

If I was starting out I would look at what some of the more common sought after trade pins. There are plenty of decently priced pins I have seen in a few trade lists (eg eight ball deluxe, fish tales, grand lizard) Makes trading up a bit easier later.

I would suggest a show or 2 to play a bunch of machines. That way you can get a feel for what you like and don't like. Do a bit of research. Some pins have ramps you just can't get replacements for.

I myself don't play in any. I just want to play some titles and get a feel for a bunch of games. I like to strike fast when a machine I like to play comes available. I can hardly wait to put in a few games on safecracker and play a few of the UK imports (with the extra buttons amd plugs). Also...

I just scored myself a pair of tix for saturday May 6. 350 machines available to play. I my opinion, the best show in the area (for playing). Not too much in the way of parts. They did have quite a few back glasses last year.
