OK I solved 1 issue and created another.
I had to cut out the sleeve in the coil to replace it. To do that I had to de-solder the coil. While I was at it I replaced the 2 wires from the EOS to the coil.
Soldered it all back together and started up the game.

Well $150 of comet lamps on the way, So the large scale test will be soon. Also the original seller offered to take back the LED. Which I'm grateful for. Just I still wonder what it is about Whirlwind that would do this while my other pin doesn't with the same LED?
Thanks for all the help! I think I found it. Finally found someone with some intelligence at Rona. Because of that I also got his name and wrote a review about him and how knowledgeable he was. And I'm going to say skilled. I'll update with some pics to compare to that first paint match LOL.
Yeah I get the tax part, just surprised at the fees considering already paid shipping fees on the order. Yes lesson learned. 1 month later and still no package in hand. LOL
Thanks, yes I did try back and forth, tried multiple LED from 3 supplies in both machines in many combinations. 2 from your comment flicker and the Comet is the only one that does NOT flicker.
