Ozone take a while to dissipate especially if it’s in an enclosed space/basement. Sounds like you had electrical arcing on something... what else is electrical in that room? try airing it out. Then find the culprit.

Sounds like either LED ghosting or a shorted (or missing) diode on a insert lamp. You didn’t do anything to the lighting like add a led strip somewhere?
