Indeed - what I meant to add to my post is that a year ago I couldn't find a Roadshow anywhere, and had to go to great lengths. Now? I know of one for sure, possibly two.
But sorry dude, my Lotr isn't going anywhere.
Plus it broke...need to pick up new optos.
I do understand. For me it was Road Show. First dmd I had to have. Took me months to find one. Had to orchestrate a package deal to get it with Bish. My aforementioned Buffalo friend Craig drove to Albany to pick up our pins for us (win-win, as he was between jobs at the time). Bish and I...
I've got a friend in buffalo who would be happy to let you store it there and visit it once in a while.
Otherwise, you're paying the tax. Not worth it to lie at the border.
I don't know how many times I can say this, but here's one more.
Patience, grasshopper. Rome wasn't built in a day...
With the recent lineup changes, I did some shuffling around of machines, made necessary by the fact that if my home theatre and Lotr were on at the same time, they blew the breaker.
I was a bit astounded to see the difference in slope in my basement in just a few feet - so just to be on the...
Mystery Spot - I've seen it 3 times, 2 with me playing and once on my buddy George's first Nd only TSPP game. Bastard. Still haven't topped his score either.
Here's my thoughts for my place.
HS - start multiball.
RS - reach Nashville, or start Radio Riot.
TSPP - complete 2 itchy and scratchy...
Looong day today, but a good one.
Had some work done on the van yesterday, including new tires, so I was a bit dismayed to see my low tire pressure light on this am. So my first stop was back to the garage, where the tires checked out fine - looks like its my sensor that's gone. Hmm...fix it...
Thnks Rob - Scott passed mine along to me today. I got the expected comments.
"That's really orange." And "what in earth is Wet Willie's?"
But I love it!
Of course, I also no longer own a wh20.... :(
But I'm keeping the shirt.
How many times do I have to tell you - theatrical release, not the extended edition.
This Lotr was here before - but this time it won't be leaving. I now look at sending my five year old screaming from the room as a more positive thing than before. Go bug mommy, sweetheart!
That Tron has been around the block a few times too. I kind if feel like the one red paperclip - I eventually turned a Whirlwind into a Lotr through no fewer than 4 trades/sales/purchases.
And Mike - how did you know it was inevitable?
