I was on the High Speed list for 2 years - when my turn came in January, with Christmas and replacing my wife's car I just couldn't pull it off. Felt bad, but the timing was horrible.
Luckily, I was able to purchase one from a fellow collector a few months later.
Sometimes timing is everything.
The shot of the guys on the roof is actually from Austria...a ski lodge...but yeah, I was supposed to be in buffalo this weekend. I discovered that you can actually get a Priceline refund in states of emergency. I guess when Buffalo freezes over...
Agreed- these machines have been thru more in the wild then they ever could in your basement. Just turn off a walked away from game, and keep common flipper parts on hand...just in case. :)
So we squeezed in 7 games at Adam's place before and during the tournament last weekend, and it went pretty well for me.
5-2 in the games we played, plus a win at Whirlwind last night.
Much better than the actual tourney went for me, highlighted by the wonderful commentary on my pinball skills...
Re: Toronto Pinball Outreach Project, Charity Tournament - O
Yeah, a nice small group of people indeed. Thanks to you and Denise for putting it together!
