Replaced the decoding chip U10 ( for the switch matrix) on the mpu. No fix.

All of the mods to the solinoid reg board and mpu have been undone. No fix. Maybe I should look at the rectifier board, I did a lot of work on it. Don't know if anything on there would cause an issue. This is getting frustrating.

I checked and reflowed the solder on the header pins they seem fine. The strange thing to me is the fact that when the ball touches the wire roll over it causes the bumper/ slingshot to fire but the switch contact is not even being made (just a light touch), it doesn't do it when I press it down...

Problem is not on the solinoid driver board. Swapped in the stern board and have the same issue. Narrowed it down a bit.

Ok, I'm going to try the solinoid driver board first and see what happens.

In solinoid test everything works and indicates as it should. I have a "stars" by stern of the same era, I think the boards are same, do you know if I can swap a board to see if the issue goes away or are the boards pinned different?

I don't see any wires or diodes touching any switch contacts. I did the switch test and it shows no stuck switches and all solinoids fire and show the correct switch #. Thanks I'm going to get a few of those diodes and replace the incorrect ones. Man,whoever worked on this pin before I got it was an idiot. It's a miracle I have got it working at all after all the messes up repairs I have fixed. Lol
