Re: Congo - erractic post beside left ramp (still resolving)
Makes perfect sense and I will take this approach.
Recently I've been raping my folded TZ for such parts, and a brand new switch is in order. I do need to place an order anyway, so will add a few switches to the list.
Thanks guys.
Re: Congo - erractic post beside left ramp (Solved)
Not so fast!
I was playing GREY mode in the lower PF... needed one more letter and nudged the machine to get the ball to the edge of the grey's hand/flipper which caused the post holding my ball on the upper PF to drop resulting in an...
Re: Congo - erractic post beside left ramp (Solved)
Thanks Adam, it was the left orbit switch.
The switch was mounted firmly but the arm had enough side to side movement allowing it to occasionally bind on the edge of the slotted opening in the PF. Turns out one of the nibs on the switch body...
During TOPL last night this problem was spotted by Adam. Fortunately, this game was not in tournament play rotation.
I typically won't post looking for help until I've tried to first fix a problem myself but given the unique symptoms of this, I'm thinking someone may recall seeing this one...
Re: Has anyone rigged something up to keep a playfield verti
Maybe, but it seemed the safest approach. Again, this is about keeping the PF straight up, and not leaning on anything else. It was a BK and it was tricky keeping the playfield at 90 degrees. With popcorn ceilings, however, the screw...
Re: Has anyone rigged something up to keep a playfield verti
I've installed screw hooks right into the ceiling drywall (into a joist) and tied off the PF on occasions where I thought I'd need it.
Right on. I did this earlier this summer. I had an electrician install a 200 amp panel since my old one was full. I then ran two lines for two new 4 gang plugs (15A + 15A) saving some cash doing it myself.
Decided to get whole home surge protection added to the panel while at it...
My rule of thumb:
- 3 WMS or 4 newer Stern games per 15 amp circuit
- 5 EMs/SSs per 15A circuit.
- keep games off of circuits that have devices with large motors, e.g. big fridge or deep freezer where motor surge can spike current draw
- I think newer Sterns are more tolerant of resets in...
Got this in an email from Jersey Jack today. I had no idea such a model even existed.
Game is all red instead of green. Extra toys coming with this one. Those still waiting for the WOZ ECLE can switch over to this one.
I'm with you Brock. I'm sitting on at least two mods for about a year now, and a third now for 6 months.
Maybe I should just hot glue these things to the top of my backbox and call it a day. :FP:
Don't mean to knock the innovative programming efforts and attempts in general for all new things in pinball, honest, but I would agree with Adam that DM is not in need of a rewrite. Surely there are other WPC games out there that need this more.
A refresh of an older game does give you...
Adam! Great job with today's tournament. You and your wife are terrific hosts. I enjoyed playing this format and had fun despite my early exit.
I'm curious to know some of the parameters of this new tournament software. For example, are the pairings totally random or are there checks and...
Just so happens I ordered the dozer decals from treasure-cove a few years ago. One set went onto the game (now sold), but I know the unused second set is kicking around somewhere... although it should have gone with the game :FP: Guess that works out for you then.
Let me look for it when I...
