Speaking of eye candy, make sure that Catwoman and Batgirl are prominently displayed throughout the pin. Maybe one on each side of the cab like the AC/DC luci just for starters.:p Ooooooh looking forward to seeing this become reality.
BTW that Jetsons pin you spoke of is for sale but I think he...
I call BS. A heart attack or myocardial infarction is caused by lack of oxygen to a section of heart muscle typically as a result of a complete blockage of one of the major cardiac arteries. Unless the kid had a preexisting heart condition, it would seem highly unlikely.
I love Dr. Who, watched it religiously as kid and was probably the reason I got into science. Every time I play that video I seem to get closer to clicking the "start a conversation with" tab. Shooting at a time expander that doesn't expand however was a bit of a buzzkill. Is there any reason...
Biggest problem for me is that the flippers are further apart than other Sterns. Often I cradle the ball to slow it down and let it ride off the flipper only to have it drain. Normally the ball would make it to the other flipper. Therefore you need to fundamentally change the way you play to...
You are always welcome at my place, it would be an honor.:D
I have 2 projects that I will be doing, a Fast Draw and BOP. I'm just waiting on the playfield from Germany for BOP, everything else such as ramps, decals, plastics have arrived. With the weather being warm I will begin cab work soon...
NIB on an old 35+ year old pin is not the same as a completely restored version. There will be two different types of collectors. The NIB all original will always be higher than a restored one with aftermarket everything. It is a dilemma that anyone who considers heavily restoring a pin faces...
As a complete restore you need to break it down to cost of all the components, playfield, plastic sets, decals etc. If this machine is truly new still in the box, which its clearly not, then he may actually not be that far off to the right person. Problem is that finding that "right person"...
Its not NOS it looks like a very nice restore though. New plastics, backglass, playfield, poss cab redone as well. Unfortunately its an over-restore and few people appreciate all the work that goes into it. As a guy who both over-restores and appreciates the work that goes into it, I don't think...
They pulled the Hobbit off the showroom floor due to not having the CSA sticker on it. They assured me that it was a precaution and that no pinball players were harmed while playing the Hobbit.o_O
I got into a debate with my wife who has recently been bitten by the EM bug. I picked up a couple of EM's for her and I told her it needs to stay in the garage where I will do a complete restoration with possible recab etc. She wanted it cleaned up and put into the lineup as is because she likes...
Congrats on that Abracadabra, one of the nicest ones I've seen in a long time. And to find quarters still in one of Luch's games is about as probable as seeing a unicorn on your front lawn.o_O
Thanks for the heads up. Looks like I'm gonna pick up a pair of used women's shoes for the misses while I grab that target alpha. I'll put a little Novus on them shoes and she won't know the difference.;)
So if I understand you correctly, you want to buy a machine where someone grabs all the parts and assembles it for you as well as have a guy program it for you with some sort of rule set. Hmmm...... couple of guys I know that fit the bill are Gary Stern and Jersey Jack.;)
I also noticed a strange "EM" sound coming from the drop targets. like an old EM's flipper when you are cradling a ball with a strange rattle as well. Maybe something is loose.
I know you may not like to deal with retailers but F-14 and Fish Tales are both available at Pinball Outlet. He asking $3900 for Fish Tales. Andre seems to have 2 different price lists, one for the pinball community and the other for general public. Not sure about F-14 since it wasn't on my radar.
For those of you interested in the Hobbit, Playdium store (Starburst) has one on display for you to check out. I got to play one today and it seems to be a pretty easy open playfield style game. The openness of the playfield has 4 troll like pop up bash toys that periodically pop up. Either the...
