TIP TWD Pre & Star Trek Pre

Other than the left scoop/kicker, what else is different that really changes the way the game flows? Some of the cosmetics on the premium/LE are neat, but if you want to save a few bucks, it's not a bad pro.

TIP TWD Pre & Star Trek Pre

TWD is definitely the harder game, but both are good. For ST, I'd probably look for a pro over a premium-the extra stuff there just isn't worth the money.

    CBC radio bit on Pinball

So I was flipping through my RSS feeds, and I saw a picture of Julie come up. CBC radio did a bit on the resurgence of pinball with Corey Cooke, Julie Dorssers, and a couple who have built an arcade out in PEI: https://www.cbc.ca/radio/thecurrent/pinball-popular-profit-1.6692822?cmp=rss Neat...

Hobbit Owner Decal Size tester needed

Sure, I can test for you. What do you need-just something printed on regular label paper?

Next Stern: James Bond 007 LE

Saw the pinball news story about this one, and I didn't realize that it was actually mechanical score reels in the backbox. The pictures made it look like a regular LCD that just did the Beatles thing with the fake reels, but this is apparently mechanical reels with a lit plastic (in the same...

Next Stern: James Bond 007 LE

I suppose this is for Bond collectors? Kind of a shame, since I would have thought this was what they were going to do with the mainline bond game instead of being all Connery. Will likely be a simpler game (like Beatles), which is OK, but not necessarily something I feel the need to own. I...

Spooky Pinball Scooby-Doo Official Reveal Trailer

That looks pretty awesome. Is the only way to get it to be a member of their fan club, or will they be available through distros? Odds seem pretty good that it'll sell out fast though if Rick and Morty was any indication. Anyone planning on trying to get one?

    Cactus Canyon LE

Played both CC and CC continued a bunch of times. It's an OK game-nothing really special, other than the rarity. It will be interesting to see what the new rules Lyman was working on turn out to be. I do wonder how it'll stand up next to modern LCD games though. It's almost into the same...

    FS DRAPL STORE - PINBALLLEDS.CA

    OK, those are really neat.

Which color Would you choose for this TZ mod?

Blue isn't bad. Is that just a clear acrylic etch? You can usually get those on RGB bases that can be whatever color you want.

Anyone here collecting old console games?

Well, ended up selling everything in one shot. Replied to one of those ads on kijiji from someone looking to buy, and managed to get pretty good value out of everything. Saved a bunch of time, and traded for a pile of cash. I have a bunch of other devices that can play all those games, so...

Anyone here collecting old console games?

I've been toying with the idea of selling some my old console games, but haven't really been active in the space for quite a while. The list of things I'm looking to move is here (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jU553csgM0abApoX6PgDyTPU2zjnSCQU9Wv6kCSblYg/edit?usp=sharing)-all of my...

    Next Stern: James Bond.

So...there's action figures hidden under the PF? That seems kind of dumb, doesn't it? Really not liking the look of the game as a first impression. Might grow on me, but having the cabinet art that focused on a single movie (e.g. the fact that the translite just says "Dr No" instead of "James...

    Next Stern: James Bond.

Right...I forgot about Goldeneye. Don't think I've ever seen that 80s one though.

    Next Stern: James Bond.

Interesting that this hasn't been done as a theme before, although there would have to be a LOT of things to license for this (likenesses, music, cars etc). Looking forward to seeing what the game looks like, and who's working on it. Rumor was that it was Gomez after Ritchie left, so this may...

To Infinity and Beyond - JJP Toy Story 4

Thanks for posting that video Mike-game looks better having seen it in at least a little more motion. Also, there is a dedicated shot for the jump ramp. Looks significantly larger than the hole in one, and the posts might help tune the difficulty. Looking forward to playing one!

    Pinball Dolly

I made my own using a modded motorcycle jack, and it's good for short moves. That one Mike linked to is probably better though. There are a couple of threads with more information on here (second one has a photo of what I'm using)...

To Infinity and Beyond - JJP Toy Story 4

Well that's not what I expected.... There's not much to see yet, but basing the whole thing off Toy Story 4 just seems like a weird call. Probably a Disney mandate, but still a strange one. Then again, this is the same Disney that built an entire expansion land based off only the Star Wars...

    Let's talk tourneys!

Actually, that list might not be up to date. Locally, Adam Becker and Jack Tadman are usually the #1 and #2 players in the area. There are a lot of other great players in the GTA, and the recent rankings actually have Jeff Teolis as the top "Toronto" player...

    Let's talk tourneys!

So it really depends on what you're trying to accomplish. There are a lot of weekly tourneys around that are there for fun, and some are small stakes cash, but usually the buy ins are under $50. Part of that usually goes to the host, and sometimes some of that goes for food, so at $40 a head...
