    Did your LOTR have a transistor at Q12? I am about to install a shaker kit and noticed I do not have a Q12 transistor. Edit, added a Q12 and everything works fine.

    Nothing "wrong" with the PBL kits. I am just saying that most flippers can be rebuilt by replacing a few parts vice a whole kit. Link it to an entire flipper assembly for less $ as well ;)

    coil stop, sleeve and clean eos will fix most flippers. Pawl assembly is good most times. For 50 bucks I would think you would get the playfield bushing as well. Or... http://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=product&id=3747

    Cool beans, thanks. I jumped the connection in question to the ground point near one of the mounting screws. Will try to get it in tonight to test.
