I forgot about Fathom classic, not sure anyone ordered one :)
I was thinking about the $8995 Mermaid edition.
The other way to think about it, is you are paying 47% more for a Pro. It's at least in the ballpark of "fairly" priced.
For everyone who thinks these are overpriced, show me another NIB machine for $4700.
The Fathom remake, another single-level machine, is $9000.
Let's just say it's no more overpriced than anything else.
I'd try on Pinside for sale thread if someone from Alberta can buy it (no provincial sales tax) you can probably break even! Maybe pingod ?
pinballjah -- I've also been told 'no' by Nitro
Price check
Price check on a freshly restored BSD. I have a few collectors who have first dibs on this machine. Looking for a price fair to both the buyer & the seller.
This is a second BSD I bought for reference while I restored my own BSD. Then I figured I might as well fix this one up too...
There are two main screws for the playfield.
- #6-1/2" for all the thick brackets (coil, microswitch, etc.)
- #6-3/8" yellow/chromate colour for thin brackets (lamps)
The chromate colour of the smaller screws is so you don't %*&$$# up and put a screw through the playfield.
The original #6-1/2"...
Who did you hear this from? I e-mailed them last week and was told September and to put a $2000 deposit to reserve one (that is the Montreal office though).
