Exactly. I don’t think Jaws is as bad as those 2 but still “marathon-y” lol. I just created a word.
In all fairness I have been playing Jaws EVERY day since we got it in late feb/early march. Last night was the first time I skipped a night. I didn’t feel like risking a long game.
Since this is a JAWS thread I’ll make a comment about it. Games are LOOOONG on this thing once you figure it out. I guess GZ is like that as well. Never played that one much so can’t really compare.
Had my first 1+ hour game this week. I don’t like that. Having flashbacks of LOTR and its...
Getting a significant drop in value when purchasing NIB is exactly how it was before. That’s why very few did it and when they did, it was for a game they were absolutely sure they would keep for quite some time. Stern would likely survive a return to that state of things but I think the...
I haven’t met any pinballers in the forces(Pet, Gage, Valcartier, Winnipeg, and Ottawa). I did buy my first game from a fellow 403 Sqn member in 99 but he wasn’t a pinhead. It was just a curiosity for him. And not working of course (wms sys 3).
I keep trying to find a way to bring a game or 2...
I have 2 resin printers but have never tried filament printing. Resin gives way more detailed prints but it sure is messy. Oh and toxic lol. I find resin prints too brittle for use in pinball though.
Oh and I belong in this thread since I am soon to be a veteran as well. Currently sitting at 35...
High power EOS (older generation of pinballs) can be problematic for sure. This is especially true if a previous owner just bought a generic "Williams/Bally flipper rebuild kit" and didn't pay attention to the hardware generation. WPC EOS will NOT work on a sys 11 - or at l;east it won't work...
I've come to realize that my wife doesn't enjoy these modules as much so instead of letting them collect dust I figured I'd give a chance to someone else to actually play them. Most of them come with the apron magnet, as well as sling and side target plastics. No other art. They all come in...
I really enjoyed my MMrRE (that I sold to MichaelQ) while I had it. It was my grail game. It hits the nail on the head on every aspect. Fun, funny, flowy, good music, good callouts, etc. I sold it because I was actually getting to the end (King of the Realm) every few weeks and I found it not...
That or it's correcting to where it will be in 2024 and beyond. A lot of the modern games are killing it with theme and content and they sell for less. It's mostly old timer pinheads that have that sentimental attachment to MM, MB, and CC, the ultimate achievements from the DMD era. However the...
Yeah it’s funny how Stern burned their own customer base. Now they have to suffer the consequences. It ain’t Gary. It’s that narrow vision ex Disney CEO. Too stupid to understand the limits of niche markets. Alienating their very small and limited customer base was really dumb.
It's what most Stern Pro owner says, regardless of which game it is. And generally most Stern Prem owners state the opposite ;)
If the price was the same you'd choose the full game as designed as opposed to the stripped down version. Stern has managed to make the price difference so obscene now...
