I love my classic Stern. I've dedicated half my gameroom to them. I sold very nice examples of Nine Ball and Ali over the last 12 months. Dragonfist just arrived recently and isn't leaving though :) I have lots of old drop targets... not sure why you'd want them though. They'll probably snap...

It's very obviosuly a winter/holiday theme. Maybe has something to do with the fact that the Gottlieb family was Jewish? The gameplay and action on this pin is pretty cool. I should post a video of the saucer kicking mechanism in action. Lighting up the different colour columns to award the AAB...

It may also just be that someone already replaced that particular transistor. It's very common to see soldering like that when a component has been replaced and the orange colour is just solder flux. But testing is of course the only way to know for sure. Very easy to test with a multimeter.

Sounds like 2 very different issues. If the transformer is buzzing I would check that all the mounting screws are tight. A small normal vibration on loose metal plates could make the sound a lot worse. The transistor for your magnet should be easy to find in the manual under the solenoids...

reminds me of 'softening' flipper coil issues that used to exist on games like LOTR. You can always try swapping a coil to test
