Beautiful. IMO Poolman is HEP north.
I have a Poolman restored cleared brassed-out proto IJ which is one of the grails of my collection. Never leaving.
These high grade examples are getting tougher to find.
I would consider keeping this beauty over a DP LE. Had that pin & it’s fun but no IJ...
May have missed this, but do you have a date when you will be closing? Was hoping to still pop by to play the collection & check out the store with my sons.
Yes, that seems to make the most sense; and I wish you & any new distributors well.
I think the only advantage, given preferred pricing seems to be off the table, is free delivery & set up &/or additional warranty support. These might be valued inclusions for some buyers (like myself).
Although it seems like a good time to buy a NIB pinball with all the apparent inventory & new local Distributors, there will likely be no savings benefit to the buyer unless there is some kind of price advantage or possibly add ons like free delivery/set up.
This seems like possibly the worst...
Yep, I’m not sure I’ve ever flipped nor sold a pin in short order.
I have entirely lost the urge to be temped to buy any new release unless it’s going to lodged for a long time in my home or cottage.
Most of these new Stern releases look fairly cookie-cutter with minimal mechanical innovation...
The guns debate on Pinside seems to have cooled with additional gameplay streaming. Assets look to be decently integrated, guns & all, though the mechs (like Jaws) look pedestrian IMO.
So is flow, code & a cool lighting show the substitute for subways & interactive mechs?
This will be another...
Well based on the FF LE & Bond LE at CAD $14.5k on Pinside, I think the shorter & mid-term could be very punitive in the current environment.
Agreed, let’s see how JW fares.
For longer term ownership, it’s not quite as punitive as the loss is kinda spread out over a longer period of time. Still not ideal ofcourse.
However, for shorter pockets of ownership or a quicker flip, it’s likely going to be a very painful loss.
Can’t see how this won’t eventually impact the...
Fun theme with lots of potential.
The problem is the MRSP and fx conversion in our crappy dollar.
$20k CAD + for an LE and $15k CAD + for a premium spells a disastrous secondary market and tons of downside risk.
On the Pinside forum Canada f/s thread, Aquapin is selling a FF LE or Bond LE for...
Poolman does unbelievable work and is a very nice guy. The IJ proto with 20 layers of clear combined with Mike Chestnut’s brass is spectacular. He also cleared my HUO TAFG.
IMO, Poolman is HEP north.
GL in your new venture.
@ Chambahz, couldn’t have said it better myself and you’re not alone in your thoughts on this.
The constant price policing & unnecessary comments on these for sale threads can be very detrimental to the seller.
This example was priced $4k-$5k below MRSP and was priced more than fairly. Someone...
