This is my opinion as well.

Congratulations! Fish Tales is a great game! I had the same problem loading a machine into an Acura MDX. The opening at the tailgate is a curved arch, with no purpose beyond aesthetics, and really reduces the utility of an SUV. Post more pics when it's set up!

Any chance bending this guide (slightly) toward the ball might help to direct the ejected ball down to the plunger so that it doesn't bounce directly back into the trough?
