Hi all,

New member here! I grew up with pinball machines in my home and spent countless hours playing games like Playboy, Flight 2000, Pinbot,Pharaoh and Atlantis over those years. I have great memories playing with my Dad and I learned my first cuss words watching him play lol.

My parents downsized and ended up selling all the machines about 15 years ago. They were offered to me but I declined as I lived in a studio apartment. I had no idea at the time, just how valuable they were :(

Fast forward to today and I have been craving getting a new machine. I have a 10 year old who fell in love playing TWD at a resort recently and asked if we could get one. So here I am looking for some advice...

My max budget is 9-10k. Am I better off getting a new machine or a few older units (I'm not handy though). I'd want something challenging yet fun for the family to play over and over. Loaded question and very subjective I know, but I was hoping to get some opinions on titles as put together a shortlist to research and then play :)

Cheers!

I would advise you go to vfw open house if you can May 3-5 and play a bunch of machines and make a wish list.
Then wait until one of those titles becomes available.
My personal opinion is the TWD while fun to some looks kinda muted to what some other titles offer. Plus I feel it's still may be on the downward spiral as most pins get from NIB. Prices always tend to vary.
If you have the room get two. If you want to them to appreciate more buy Williams titles (again my opinion but I do watch prices on a number of Williams titles).

for your budget of 10k , you can almost get most of those games you played as a kid , but then if your not handy , a newer game on the secondary market might be better , less repairs

Thanks for the advice! I'm not a fan of TWD per say but it did get my son interested in Pinball. I'm open and will definitely check out the open house :)

I loved those games but I'd want to try something different for sure. Perhaps getting one of them for ol times sake would be fun though. Thanks for the advice :)
