$4000 CAD less than a NIB pro feels like what it should have been. I think it's pretty decent at this price apples to apples. I'm not comparing to used games.
You put 1 game on this and it becomes used. Close to 6500 with tax is a no go. There was one of the first gen Stern Star Wars home editions on Kijiji last year for 4500 and it sat for over a week. I think it sold for 4k.
With that being said, I don't disagree that if someone only wanted NIB then it's worth trying before buying. If you compare this to a Premium for example, it's less than half price, and there's not double the fun in a Premium in my eyes, but to each their own as sometimes I don't think the 3k difference between Pro and Premium is worth it. At this price it create a new tier
The JP home edition is pretty nice with the jump ramp etc. I'd be tempted if that was on sale right now, or if they did a short run of Home Edition Heavy Metal it would be tempting as well.

I talked to a manager at Costco here in Niagara Falls a month ago to see if they were gonna discount and sell the floor model, and he said that they were definitely going to do that: I just had to keep checking until they were down to just the floor model. Well, that finally happened last Sunday, so I went and asked, and they said that since it was "broken" it had been marked for garbage disposal the following day and they could not sell it to me. It was in pretty terrible condition: broken rubbers, dirty, not serving balls, but nothing unfixable and I would have been happy to bring it home for $2k or so as a project pin. Too bad.
Some one bought 2 of these probably floor models. $6k each. I messaged the guy he said they are brand new just he and his wife have tried them. I asked for the audits. After a couple days of not knowing how to do it????
